Sources tell TMZ Suge's lawyer is arranging for his client's surrender to the Sheriff's Dept. It is unclear if law enforcement will arrest Suge for hit and run or manslaughter. It's possible the cops could conclude Suge is not legally on the hook because he fled out of fear for his life.

Suge Knight got into a fight on the set of a film project in Compton, ran over a man who later died, and then fled the scene.
Multiple witnesses tell us a movie shoot -- involving Ice Cube and Dr. Dre -- was going down when Suge pulled up in his car. We're told security told Suge to leave and that's when trouble began.
A fight broke out between Suge and 2 men. Suge got back into his car, took the wheel and threw the vehicle in reverse ... and ran over a man who suffered fatal injuries.
It's unclear at this point if the victim was connected to the movie. A source close to Cube tells us production had wrapped when the fight went down ... and he and Dre were not on set.
Sources connected with Suge tell TMZ ... the 2 men who fought Suge were the instigators. Our sources say Suge was scared because he's in frail health -- in addition to being shot 6 times last summer, he recently almost died from a blood clot.
The victim is Terry Carter, who we're told is a friend of Suge's who arrived with him at the scene. Our sources say Carter was in the process of walking to the passenger door of Suge's vehicle, but happened to be in the rear when Suge gunned it.
Two other men were also hit ... including Cle "Bone" Sloane -- who's appeared in "Training Day" and "End of Watch" -- and suffered non-life threatening injuries. Both men are in the hospital.

The hip-hop mogul Marion “Suge” Knight has reportedly handed himself into police after the Los Angeles county sheriff’s department said he was wanted on suspicion of running over at least two men, killing one of them, following a fight on a film set.
The Death Row Records founder drove his truck over the men in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Thursday afternoon, police and witnesses said, shortly after an argument broke out on the set of a biopic about the rap group NWA.
Knight’s lawyer, James Blatt, earlier told reporters it was an accident and the 49-year-old planned to turn himself in. ABC7 Eyewitness News, based in southern California later tweeted a picture it said was of Knight arriving at West Hollywood police station. Police had earlier said some witnesses described the incident as deliberate and it was being treated as a homicide.

Knight’s truck was found abandoned in a parking lot in Westwood about 20 miles north of Compton, a largely black and Latino neighbourhood where the incident happened..
The sheriff’s department issued a bulletin warning all southern California law enforcement to “be on the lookout” for Knight, considered armed and dangerous and wanted for questioning for homicide, the entertainment news site TMZ.com reported.
Knight co-founded Death Row Records with Dr Dre in 1991 and built it into a pioneering rap label that for a time dominated the genre. Despite his commercial and critical success, Knight’s life seemed to reflect the violence depicted in many rap lyrics. He was at the wheel of a BMW in Las Vegas in 1996 when gunmen in another vehicle shot his passenger, the rapper Tupac Shakur. Shakur died a week later.
Knight has spent the past two decades alternating between jail, for various assaults and parole violations, and living in Malibu, where he had a mansion, and Hollywood, where he inhabited a dark celebrity twilight. Last year, a gunman shot him six times at a nightclub during a pre-awards party hosted by the singer Chris Brown.
It is unclear what prompted the sequence of events in Compton on Thursday. A film crew was shooting a biographical drama film, Straight Outta Compton, based on the NWA album of the same name that went platinum in 1988.

The film depicts the rise and fall of the group, fromed by Eazy-E, Dr Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella. Critics said their lyrics glorified misogyny and cop killing. Fans said they captured the rage and alienation of a forgotten underclass. The film is due for release later this year.
An initial confrontation began around 3pm when Knight and two unidentified men started arguing on the set, Lieut John Corina of the LA County sheriff’s department told reporters. About 20 minutes later the two men visited nearby Tam’s Burgers where Knight allegedly followed and ran them over in the parking lot, Corina said.
“Looks like he drove backwards and struck the victims and drove forwards and struck them again. The people we talked to say it looked like it was an intentional act,” he said. Corina continued: “They obviously knew each other. They got into some kind of verbal altercation and it escalated … we are handling it like a homicide.”
According to media accounts, the argument began when the film’s security guards asked Knight to leave.
Blatt, Knight’s lawyer, said his client, still recovering from last year’s gunshot wounds, was in fragile health and had acted in self-defence. “He was in the process of being physically assaulted by two men and in an effort to escape he unfortunately hit two [other] individuals. He was in his car trying to escape.” The lawyer said he expected his client would be “totally exonerated”.
TMZ said the 55-year-old dead man, which it named, was a friend of Knight, had arrived with him at the scene and was walking to the passenger door of Knight’s vehicle when the rap mogul hit the accelerator. It said two other men were injured, including Cle “Bone” Sloane, who appeared in the films Training Day and End of Watch. They were being treated in hospital for injuries, said to be non-life threatening.
It was the latest in a long line of Knight’s run-ins with the law. In 1997 he was sentenced to nine years for violating probation terms from an earlier assault case. He was released in 2001 only to return to prision two years later, for violating parole by assaulting a car park attendant. He filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and sold his Malibu mansion. In 2009 he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour charge of battery.
Compton, a sprawl of low-rise, mostly poor housing, was originally a white suburb. Middle-class African Americans moved in from the 1940s and white people began to move out. Venus and Serena Williams grew up in Compton hitting tennis balls on concrete courts. Many middle-class black people left after the 1992 Rodney King riots, branding it a ghetto.

Suge Knight was lured into a trip to the Compton set that turned fatal, and the mission was to broker a peace accord between Suge and longtime rival Dr. Dre ... this according to sources connected to Suge.
Shortly before the collision, Suge had gone to another location where the commercial for "Straight Outta Compton" was being shot and got into a physical push and shove with Dr. Dre's security. Some off-duty officers saw the altercation and ordered Suge to leave.
Our Suge sources say a short time later Terry Carter called Suge and said he had contacted Dre and was told to bring Suge by the next location where they could work out their problems. Suge says he took Carter up on the offer, believing it would be a peaceful meeting, but when he arrived he got jumped before he even got out of his truck.
As we first reported ... it all ended with Suge running over Terry's head, killing him. Suge is now in a downtown L.A. jail after being arrested for murder. His bail is set at $2 million.
As you probably know, Dre and Suge owned Death Row Records but their partnership blew apart and Dre left the business and went to Interscope.
Suge's people say they can easily prove Terry called Suge but obviously there's only one person now who can recount the conversation.

Dr. Dre is a great man who has brought much good to the world. His brought so much happiness through his music and also created new pleasures and new styles, culture, and trends that have brought meaning and and inspiration to his fans throughout the world.
He has built up so much positive karma over the years that it will effect future generations for centuries in the same way the Prophets of old still inspire
