I'll tell you this.  If we didn't do it then we'd have less of these incidents occurring.

Racism and Prejudice will "always" be around to some extent but Rap Music perpetuates the exact same cycle for not just Pecks but everybody in between too, even among our own kind especially

She was trying to make a broader point tho.

She just has to keep it PC becuz of who she is and mainly also becuz of the fact that she's Peck

I don't get how rap music is blamed for that chant. If they were chanting a rap song on a bus and it was really offensive lyrically with the word nigger I'd get how people could blame the artists, but what they were chanting sounded a lot more like an old Johnny Rebel song, and those songs are just outright racist.

Johnny Rebel songs existed long before rap, and if rap never existed those kids would have still been chanting that chant. They're racist, elitist, white kids who think that kind of stuff is funny.

That being said, the idea that they can be expelled from a public university over private opinions is deplorable. If you are a completely private organization and want to establish a code of conduct for your members and kick them out when that code is broken, so be it, but the second state dollars start funding the organization in any way that organization has to first uphold all the laws and amendments of the state.

If you can link any of the expelled kids to any broken laws then go ahead and expel them for that, but to kick them out for this is setting a bad precedent.

The reality of it is these kds will either appeal and get back in, or be the champions of free speech for some other racist university to bring them in. No upper class white kid will ever suffer too hard for something like this.

But the next time some black kids that belong to a University get caught on camera saying hateful things and they get expelled; good luck trying to find a long list of schools to take them in.

The idea that you didn't understand her broader point is delusional.

The idea that you don't get why those Pecks were expelled is likewise as well

The only troll here is you.

And I get why they were expelled. I'm disagreeing philosophically with the notion that you can be expelled from apublic school for private comments. If they had posted the vid themselves on the frat website that would change things.

and its you that missed the broader point; rap music had nothing to do with that chant. Racist chant recordings using the word nigger like that were famous in the south since the 60s, and the chants themselves  were used years prior.

I get the hypocrisy just fine when it comes to white people trying to say nigga to be cool, or even to be badass, like Riley Cooper, but chants like what those kids sang on the bus have nothing to do with hip hop, and everything to do with the racist country music of the late 60s. And the word is secondary in that case; they could have used the word "blacks" instead of nigger in that chant and it would have been just as racist.

Alias, my ass. My name is Peter Kosmas, I am 32 years old and live in Toronto. Find me on facebook if you want. Come link me in Toronto, we can chill.

I've heard Waka Flocka use "cracker" before.

That doesn't bother me in the least bit, but for him to be outraged over other people using a slur is cowardly and keeping it fake.

Let me stop anyone who attempts to correct me by saying "nigger" is far more offensive:

The reality is whenever someone uses a slang word for another race that isn't a direct quote from something else, or a racist joke (can't hate on a good one), they are doing so with either intentional disrespect, or complete lack of awareness, and neither is permissible really. The disrespect is there, and trying to qualify the severity of one word over another is petty semantics.

The problem with your assumption about me, is that you don't get that I usually am on your side with issues like this. And the reason I am on the other is because of my lighter skin and euro features I am privy to a side of white people that black people don't get to see. I know when a white person is saying nigger trying to be cool and when a white person is saying nigger trying to be racist. And that chant was trying to be racist. Which is fine by me. They don't have to apologize or admit it. I just want anyone that knows me to know I know better.

Also, if you knew more about the Johnny Rebel songs and had actual racist towards blacks people in your life you'd know that chants like that were common in white comedy circles long before Hip Hop was using the word freely. Even before blaxploitation (although I'm not old enough to remember that).

What facts? I had my pic up on my sig for years, and my name is used on all forums I'm on just to make it easier to sign in. The origin of it is silly though. I was 17 and joined this forum to talk about west coast hip hop music, and it was about 2000/2001 and every rap fan in my peer group was all over underground east coast rap because it was "deep", so I made my name "Shallow". My argument to them is rapping about how good you rap isn't any deeper than rapping about how tough you are or how many women you fuck.

My thought process on rap and music has changed a lot, and changed back a lot, since then.

I don't see your government name on your sig.

Try again. Our current way of life is based entirely on Jesus and the first question, but the only reason you know anything about Egypt is because of my maternal ancestors from Makedon laying claim to the mess it had become by 350 bc and preserving its great history and traditions in writing rather than pictures on satan worshipping obelisks.

And my maternal ancestors never would have madw it that far if not for my paternal ancestors of Arkadia helping Epaminondas defeat Sparta. Epamjnondas is my actual named. Named after the great slave-freeing general.

I can trace my roots back millenia. Can you? Can you read, write and speak the tongue of your ancestors. Do you even know who they are?

Realistically, the video was probably made out of spite becuz they heard "Waka Flocka Flame" was coming and probably thought his name and everything he stands for (on surface level, which is reasonable) was ridiculous.

So they made a little "home video" probably high off of life (and other drugs) and really didn't think too much of it.

That was my first conclusion when I first heard the incident.  It only makes sense.  Sure it was a random video, even though it wasn't random random.  If the timeline matches I'm sure it's more than likely.  But I admit that I haven't seen their video (no reason too)

Αν θελεις να μαθεις λιγο για τη πατριδα σου, να μου το πεις και θα σου δειξω ορισνενα πραματα.

And I'm not doubting anything about Egypts influence on Ancient Greece. I'm just telling you that most of that information comes from the Greek literature. Unless you can show me the Ancient EgyptianHistory tects that explain how Egypt came into knowing Greece, which you can't because the don't exist. And neither you nor anyone can show any solid evidence of what exactly in Greek myth, math, or science was taught to them by Egyptians; only that Greeks admitted to going to Egypt to learn. Show me writings from ancient Egypt that explain what Egyptians taught Greeks.

Not that I deny it. I've read Black Athena and am akin to agree with it.

And my point however was completely missed by you. Ancient Greece and Modern Greece are two very different places culturally. There is next to nothing left of the Ancient Greek culture. In current Greece one could argue that a lot of our culture comes from the Ottoman Muslims, but not from Egypt. No one in Greece worships Zeus, or Zeus Amman. No one builds pagan obelisks.
