Title: Even more proof to question Kobe's...
Post by: Chamillitary Click on February 10, 2016, 10:23:13 AM
Leadership, loyalty & love for LA.

Halfway through the article, he pretty much admits he wouldn't of accepted a trade to Cleveland, but pretty much strong armed the Lakers to make a move or he was off to Chicago, San Antonio or Phoenix.

What a clown.

What a clown.
Using your position to leverage a better deal doesn't make you a clown, especially if you stay... and win.  Kobe did both after that.  LA had no reason to be mad.

Who is a better example?  LeBron and how he left Cleveland the way he did?

Jim Mora was entertaining offers from other schools like Washington and Texas... but he stayed at UCLA, got a raise and got some other things to help out with their football program and won the Alamo Bowl that year.  Is he a clown too?

Demanding a trade because you're not in a position to win because you're insecure about Shaq's success compared to yours & leaving a team because you're contract expired are two different universes.

In this universe where we look at what people did and not what they almost did, he stayed with the team, brought home two more championships, re-signed and agreed to contract extensions and became the FIRST player to play 20 years with the same franchise.  That sounds like loyalty.

Kobe used his leverage to get better players to win a title in LA. LeBron wish he had that kind of clout. Instead he left to Miami to join someone else's team.

More rings than LeBron. LeBron is just a footnote in history, while Kobe will have his own NBA era.
