Seems kinda nice, Different to the piano over a funky beat of Kush (and a large part of Dre's style from 2003/4 onwards) which didn't seem to advance by 2009 (not that those records don't sound dope).
Less sonically revolutionary than Compton (based on snippets), tho. But makes a better 1st impression.
Hopefully he's got The D.O.C rapping over at least one of the tracks (sounds like it).

Those songs sound dope indeed. Instantly got that classic Dr. Dre vibe that was missing from "Compton", especially that horribly altered voice.

Look dude, whoever brings them brings them and let them bring them. I'm not holding onto any records. All mine came from one connection who stopped giving me his scraps because he wanted to make money with them or use his original associates for and that's Death Row shit which all ended up sounding like trash anyways. I don't have Still An MC OG, I don't have a Prince Ital Joe album, and I certainly don't have anything off Detox. Do I know private emails? Yes. Do I ask my contacts for any tracks? No. I'm happy that whoever wants to bring them out to the mass public is bringing them. I only have one thing in my collection and three others have it. Its Ice Cube, 2Pac, and Ice T in the studio - working on a track that is not off Strictly 4 N*ggaz. I choose to hold onto it as I'm not the original source for this footage and don't want to prevent them from making money off it in the future because they actually had something to do with the making of the footage and own the rights. This Detox shit however, bring it on. Dre ain't going to use any of it. Let Chad does as he wants bro. Fuck his motives, if you ain't fucking with them. But I don't care what his motives are. I want some new music.
Also, @SoopaflyDPGC I sent you a snippet once of an unheard vintage 97 Snoop and Soopafly song. I don't even have that anymore, so just know I'm not holding onto shit.

The song itself feels like an WIP intro song that is trying to build up anticipation / tension for the album. Nothing ground breaking on its own, but I can see it fitting the context of a whole album. Would love to know what "Detox" concept this track followed. Still hoping that Snoop track leak some day. ;D
I'm surprised at how well the overall track sounds knowing that's an unfinished low quality leak. I'm one of those that can't stand the mastering of "Compton" with it being to bright / harsh and therefore exhausting to listen to - so listening to a "new" Dre track with a more generic soundscape is quite satisfying.

i think you guys are confusing mastering with mixing (re compton). and dre's 'mixing' is a lot more akin to producing with what he does to the overall record when he gets hold of it.
this new leak like i said before is a rough reference track. the sound is low-grade and hasn't got that dre quality, which is what we really wanted from detox. the lyric isn't bad but it's impossible to say how good it could have been fully fleshed out. as it is it's just a storyboard for a potential track.

This was what i was referring to. Another producer took credit for this leak and nothing has been leaked from the original poster who had "many other songs" that he "might leak someday". Month and a half with nothing. If I'm wrong, prove me wrong. Until then, it was all just another attention seeking post saying someone has songs with no intention of ever leaking them or even has anyways. Ego stroked, net fame succeeded, fades away.

Soopafly DPGC, not sure why you’re being so negative here. Chad leaked a song last year from Detox, and also just leaked the 12 Steps song. He said he would leak one song in this thread and he kept his word. Where are you getting that a producer leaked it first and Chad stole credit?
