Although Dreams Too, Articulate & 2 Way Anthem seem to have DJ tags.

I compared against a lossless rip of this:

Not sure if that promo was fully mastered, but it doesn't sound overcompressed and harsh like this new version.

Ya I think since this was actually remastered, that's the difference. The problem is that they started with lossy mp3s. If I have the true lossless files from Van Gogh then Ras Kass sure as hell could have got ahold of them. I'll upload a few of the songs from the rip I have along with the same ones from this release so you guys can compare.

- priority records official promo
- capitol records promo (not sure about how legit this is, as it doesn't look very professional)
- street version

I believe all 3 sound much better than current release. I could even hear some skips, cuts and distortions on few of the tracks.
I could have provided original rips to Rassy as a basis 8) Looks like he didn't own the sources anymore.

I like the artwork of new release very much, especially the tape, but I will hold still for now due to shitty sound quality.

cassette is easy to record so i understand .. but vinyls need to be pressed, so it’s confusing as to why he couldn’t shell out a dollar per disc to properly press Van Gogh on cd.

look at back of the disc .. u see the greenish tint? that indicates cd-r as opposed to official press. official pressings have a silver tint on the back of thevdisc. hold the bottom up next to any of your other pressed cds and you will see the difference.

Of course I also got Goldyn Chyld too. But I'm glad this came out, to hear Van Gogh the way it was suppose to be before the bullshit happened.
