Have you heard the new album from Q? What do you think about it?
-
Don't like this 1 compared to his last 2.
-
Only heard three songs thus far, but didn't like any of them. Probably won't check out the rest. His previous albums were much better to me
-
Not his best album but solid record in my opinion. Like they said on "For The Record" podcast it's a transitional album from Q so we're getting a little bit of everything but I feel like his next album gonna be better! Meanwhile I'm enjoying this album from what it's worth!
-
I have a feeling this will be similar to the direction YG went in on his last album, but with that being said I'm still going to check this out with an open mind

Not to derail from the thread but YG's direction after Still Brazy was such a disappointment. And this new rollout for Stop Snitchin (and the video) shows no hope of him getting back to that sound he's known for. It was a mistake to go back to Mustard and I hope he teams up with Terrace Martin again.

Not bad. But not better than his last 2.

although I did enjoy and support his last album I do kinda agree with that and feel its without question his weakest album
as for this album, bumped about half so far in the ride and it was sounding dope so far

Mustard produced his first album though, which is, dare i say, a classic.

just started to listening!
-
blank face LP was better after the 1st listen.

100% agree - but he shouldn't of gone back to Mustard as I mentioned which is my point.

i still haven’t cracked open my hard copy of yg last album due to how bad cats said it was LOL
and i thought still brazy was hard
i was never a big fan of schoolboy, but his last album was cool

What a let down. I can't believe people were hype off the snippet of this song before the album dropped.
Just goes to show, getting a Travis feature these days don't mean shit.
Q is in a weird place for this album, it's like he's not really pushing the album with confidence in how good it is. Being scrapped 3 times and being pushed back, seems like it's just a contractual/label motivated product which always compromises the value of the album.
-
overall a solid album, need to spin it a few more times to see how I rank it with his others
1. Gang Gang
2. Tales
6. Lies (feat. Ty Dolla $ign & YG)
10. Dangerous (feat. Kid Cudi)
11. Die Wit Em
12. CrasH

^ these joints were my favorites, I can't say there were any bad songs but I wasn't too big on the ones with 21 and Lil Baby
-
A good album at best but a forgettable one in my opinion.
The unique thing about this album is that it starts off great with the first song, but also delivers with the closing track.
Stand out songs for me -
1. Gang Gang
4. Numb Numb Juice
5. Drunk f. 6LACK
6. Lies f. Ty Dolla $ign & YG
7. 5200
11. Die Wit Em
