Just reviewing Crip's albums after I give them a serious listen... (and as it goes without saying great work as always Crip, much appreciated. And any adjustments I make to tracks are just personal preference not really suggestions cause I like the way you are formatting all of these cause it gives us a good look at what all is available, just tweaking a bit here and there)

Now I can see why Dre never released this album. Let's start with the good.
The GOOD
The interesting part though is that there is some serious hits on this album which could of promoted the album to high sales in the right climate. Like "Kush" and "Need A Doctor" still performed well as singles and videos even though no album was released--and "Mr. Perscription" and "Drug Test" seem like they could of been club hits as well. "Die Hard" also seems like a potential hit or worthy of at least its own music video. "The Recipe" is of course a great track and still my favorite all time Kendrick Lamar track. I was surprised when this track didn't really blow up or have a music video. It was actually shit that Kendrick did without Dre that blew him up to what he became...
BAD
Now for the downside and why this album probably wasn't released. "Under Pressure" and "2 Kings" are very weak and subpar. I'm not a Jay-Z fan anyway, but this is far from the "Still Dre" type material Jay-Z came up with in the past. "Talking To My Diary" and "Tonight" were a bit too distant from the Detox era because they seem to be more like the COMPTON sessions (though I know "Talking to My Diary" was the first and oldest song recorded for COMPTON). Then a lot of the rest are filler songs not really worthy of much mention.
LAST OF ALL LET ME MAKE SPECIFIC NOTE OF "TOPLESS"
"Back Against the Wall" was a good find and a song I must of missed, seems I hadn't heard it before. I think "Topless" is one of the all-time great unreleased tracks up there with 6'2 "Day Like Today" or Royce "Throne is Mine" Pac "Play Your Cards Right" o.g... But this version of "Topless" isn't my favorite. The best one was the one that had T.I. open up with reference vocals for Dre---

Then went in with Nas' epic second verse which is really one of Nas great all time verses that will never be released. Nas absolutely devastates this track. Then there was no 3rd verse just those two verses. I kind of feel like all the other verses that were made for this track aren't really worthy. For some reason the first version I had of this track just had the T.I. reference vocals and the Nas' verse so that's what I got used to.

With this Firm Album I ended up trimming the filler Trackmaster tracks and replaced em with better produced songs by em and added in all those Dre cuts that didnt make the album...fixed em up too...the intros now apart of the tracks...sequenced everything perfectly and added some rare remixes...

Infinite Review of Fanmade (Crip) The Firm Album (As always goes without saying great work on this one Crip)
FIRST, A LOOK BACK ON 97' WHEN THE ALBUM WAS ORIGINALLY RELEASED
First let me say that this was one of the more bizarre eras in hip-hop. The hip-hop world was mourning the loss of Big and Pac and lesser acts like Jay-Z, Puffy, DMX, and No Limit were filling the vacuum. Dre loyalists like me were hoping Dre would emerge and restore order but we'd have to wait a couple more years for that when Eminem emerged at Aftermath. This was also the Mafioso era. Death Row kind of spearheaded that stuff you saw the imagery with the way Suge was trying to run his label and Snoop's Doggfather album. It was a depressing era in hip-hop and a depressing time in my own life. I remember getting the album the day it dropped--just on the strength of the Aftermath name--because I wasn't really a fan of anybody else on the album. Even Nas, I wasn't really a fan at the time. I'd loved a couple tracks here and there like "If I Ruled the World" and AZ's "Sugar Hill" but it would be another couple years before I'd really get deep into Nas and other East Coast artists. So the idea at the time for West Coast headz like me was that shit was wack--and that the Firm album was a flop. I was smart enough to realize that "Phone Tap" was a banger. And eventually I was smart enough to figure out that "Desperado's" was also some next level shit. I remember at that time they were toutin' Canibus as being the second coming of Rakim or some shit--he was the next big thing--and I was all in once he came with "2nd Round Knockout" with Mike Tyson....In retrospect there was a ton of great music still being released in this era, and The Firm album was also a dope album looking back...
THE BAD
...As for this Crip fanmade album...word is Dre said he only really spent like 10 days on this album. There weren't enough Aftermath contributions to really please Dre fans. Crip tried to balance it out a bit here. Up until the "Firm Biz" track it was no real improvement upon the retail release. The Dre contributions were a bit tired...
The GOOD
It didn't seem like much of an improvement anyway, until you get to "Time" and the last few cuts then it starts to come together and you can see a vision of what this album could've been. Very solid, but not classic.
I compiled mostly 99/early 2000s Xzibit tracks that werent on any of his albums...so soundtrack/leftover/bonus/unreleased songs that I fixed up and sequenced in the order..tracks are all UNTAGGED....enjoy

The unreleased Mr. Officer uses the same instrumental as Day the niggaz took Over, so I didnt want two tracks using the same beat on this...most people dont know about mr. officer

Good work from Crip’s side but Dre definitely got the most out of this dude on Compton cause I was less than impressed. Like he couldn’t decide if he wanted to be gangsta, or hardcore, or conscious—so he ended up being weak in all 3

The artwork of that LP is classy and i felt a classy opener was needed. i shortened songs (hooks in some songs were repeated too many times), extended the beginning of "First Place", deleted songs i didn't feel, added songs i like (Snoop nearly always covers songs in his albums), deleted intros, moved intros as outros. Songs with ** in the tracklist are just a short taste of the tune because the whole song is an ordeal to listen to.

Since Snoop only made Da Game...in a few weeks time with Beats by The Pound doing most of the production...it dont sound like the usual Snoop album...so I cut off all but 4 tracks from the retail and used other tracks Snoop was involved with during his No Limit era...edited songs/sequenced everything perfectly!!!

Years back I put together 4 volumes of Classic Roc (All Hov Blends)....So I recently went back and grabbed a few from each that I felt were the best ones and added acouple blends I didnt drop then...sequenced it so everything good!!!
