Society has never experienced restriction on this level in our lifetimes, and if you want to be in denial about the effect that has on people's lives—especially a pioneer like Dre who spearheaded seismic shifts and breakthroughs in expression during his lifetime.

Great art comes from life experience. Hip-Hop originated from large gatherings in the parks of the Bronx—the era and lifestyle you see depicted in a movie like Warriors where masses of street gangs roamed the streets at night tagging up Subways and getting into all types of shit. Listen to 2pac "Old School" from Me Against the World and you can learn a thing or two about where artistic inspiration comes from.
The life that Dre was living coming up influenced his art and his music. Does 2pac become 2pac if he sat around in his home on quarantine? Artists are inspired by life and when you shut down life the artist suffers.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t believe anyone else on this forum is stupid enough to agree with you but as someone who has seen the devastating effect on people’s lives due to Covid and as someone who has lost too many people this year I find your posts offensive. Anyway, hope Dre continues to get better. Let’s just hope he’s out of the hospital soon. A hospital is the last place I’d want to be spending any length of time during a pandemic!

This is awful news and my thoughts are with Dre and his family and close friends. I hope he makes a swift and full recovery.
Of course music is unimportant at times like this, but hopefully one positive out of this is that when Dre recovers he will perhaps be even more spurred on to release the album that he’s been working on.

Hope Dre has a speedy recovery and we get that new music soon.
A buddy of mine's wife had an aneurysm a week before Christmas. Luckily my friend found her unconscious immediately and she was taken to the hospital and is already out, has fully recovered and they don't expect any lasting effects/complications. From the time it happens to the time they get treatment is the most crucial part. If my friend would have been at work instead of hearing her collapse, she probably wouldn't have made it. Its just a fluke thing with no warning signs or symptoms. She was in very good shape and healthy and *boom*. And she certainly had no where near the resources Dre does or access to the kind of Dr.s and specialists. So if he's awake and lucid that's a very good sign.

he got divorced, now he got suffered brain aneurysm and looks like he got over it.
i think he is good now, because the people close to him are enjoying and having fun on their social media. even snoop is singing songs and dancing on his IG. so i think that there is nothing to worry about Dre.
but Dre keeps it private. we never see him went to hospital, never seen any photo from hospital. he and his company is very good at keeping it private. he knows it's smth that is going to be important for his COME BACK.
i think all that happened will push him to the stage under the spotlights one more time with everything he has.

Sources connected to the musician told the site: 'Dre's where he's been since last Monday, in ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA.
Our sources say doctors continue to do a battery of tests to get to the root problem. Doctors also want him in ICU in case, God forbid, he suffers another aneurysm ... if that happens, time would be of the essence.'
'We don't know if Dre has gone into surgery, but that's usually the case to stop bleeding.'
The site reports that the musician is resting comfortably, and doctors are said to have informed his family that a 'bad outcome' doesn't appear to be on the horizon.
The latest news comes after it was reported that Dr Dre, real name Andre Romelle Young, has agreed to pay $2 million in temporary spousal support to his estranged wife Nicole Young amid their ongoing divorce battle.
The rapper, 55 signed the deal from his bed at Cedars Sinai Hospital.
Young was initially seeking $2 million monthly on top of $5 million in legal fees, but Dre will not be paying the legal fees she originally asked for.
The amount Dre agreed to pay his ex is a one-time fee, however that might change depending on their upcoming court hearing in April 2021.
On top of the millions Dre has agreed to pay, he will also continue to pay for the Malibu and Pacific Palisades homes where Young and her mother live for the next few months.
Currently, Dre has been paying Young $293,306 a month in temporary support.
Young filed for divorce from The Next Episode artist earlier this summer after 24 years of marriage, and they share two children - son Truice Young, 24, and daughter Truly Young, 20.
The new development comes amid a turbulent time for Dre.
Dre recently updated fans on his health and revealed he would be leaving the hospital soon.
'Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I'm doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team.
'I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!' he posted on Instagram.
However the rapper was dealt another blow when it emerged four burglars had attempted to break into his $40 million mansion as he recovered in the hospital.
The intruders targeted his Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, home on Wednesday at around 2am when they saw news reports that he was getting life-saving treatment.
The home's security team spotted the men 'casing' the house and confronted them, according to TMZ, causing the men to flee.
The security guards called police before they could get on the premises. Cops arrived, chased the men down and took them into custody.
