No way. Totally disagree. His best album was Retaliation, Revenge and Get Back on Deathrow. Nothing he's ever done since comes close to this in my opinion.

i remember around the time it dropped, the majority opinion was that it was his best solo work .. and when rr&gb dropped, it was widely considered a disappointment, because the expectation was high comin off dogg food

The high standards everyone had held with Deathrow had cooled off by the time RAW dropped, which gave it a boost. If the release dates of RAW and RRGB were switched, it would've produced the same effect, arguably much higher positivity with RRGB than the other way around.
Production, features, and arrangement of RRGB is leagues beyond anything he's done since on a solo level. That album is a large reason why a lot of people still give an ear to his music in hopes they'll get something like that again. Maybe this new Deathrow situation will finally deliver but I doubt it. And there's no way anyone's getting priority over this Snoop & Dre joint album. Maybe he'll get lucky and get some studio time with Dre for the DPG album on Deathrow.

Since when are Dre and Snoop working on a joint album? I know they in the studio, but I thought it was for Snoop's next album.

Per the recent Harry-O interview with Kevin G. In line with that, there was about a week when Snoop was posting photos of himself recording with Dre - in the studio, having "Breakfast at Dre's", etc. DOC is involved as well (photos with the three of them too).

Damn I actually gave this a listen I don’t like RAW I bought it at the swap meet when it first dropped (low key no one knew it was Even a new album, artwork was fucked up and still is, the features are super low, production is subpar, not even close to RR&GB, I never listen to it). any way expectations for this was none.

first 2 albums were amazing, debut "dogg food" mixed by dre, following "dillinger and young gotti" mixed by mike dean. sure masterings handled well.

I just gave the album a quick listen. Nothing jumping out at me as particularly great. Daz sounds like he always does on the mic, which is fine. When I buy a Daz album, I don't expect to hear masterful rhyming, because, for me, his excellent production always makes up for his average rapping. Unfortunately, I don't think Daz produced anything or much of anything here. As to Capone, I've never really listened to CNN because I just don't like the sound of Capone's voice and this has done nothing to change my mind. If the production was better, I could look past Daz's average rhyming and Capone's less than pleasant voice. But sadly, the production is just okay. I'll give it another spin later today or tomorrow and see if my thoughts change at all, but so far, it's pass for me.

The amount of forgettable throw-away material Daz has been a part of is almost impressive. Kurupt as well. It's all a straw grab at this stage of things and has been for quite a long time. You'd have comparable luck buying lottery tickets than getting anything close to Dogg Food or RRGB ever again. In both cases, it's a complete waste of money for an unrealistic expectation.

It’s every album how they’re so respected in nY for the shit they dropped (The war report included) isn’t dope neither mc nore or Capone can carry a album they’re range is small their flows get super tiring and barely change, nore has some dope shit no doubt and the closer remix from the war report is fire 🔥 but NY breakfast club hot 97 would put them over the Dogg Food Album, or any DPG release for that matter
