Title: Nate Dogg G-Funk Classics vol. 1
Post by: _That_Cracka_J on May 20, 2003, 10:41:50 PM
With Suge Knight using everybody's master recording to make money off of them, how is it that Nate Dogg was able to use his Death Row recordings on he release G Funk Classics vol. 1 & 2?  Did he actually own his own publishing?

no.....he had to win them back in court after he left Death Row.  Ghetto Preacher and Prodical Son were two seperate albums that Nate had done on Death Row but were never relseased.  so after he won them in court he he just released them both at once as G Funk Classics Vol. 1 and 2.

or so I understand.

But the way Suge Knight always boasts about owning all of the publishing rights and masters, you'd think there was no way for Nate to get them...
