I saw Verbal's post and that made me think if I own WCC like Overseer. What would you do with it & how would you change it?
Personally heres mine:
- I would Make a extra porn forum.
- I would erase the "2pac & Biggie" banner at the bottem of each page.
- I would try to make a WCC financial fonds. Were peeps could add money to so the community could save up for a big WCC promotial campain like adverts in the Source or XXL...
- I would unban everyone and give them a last chance and if they screwed up then its a IP ban.

- uhh... that kinda influx of fans would kill the hosting.. and probably make it impossible to keep running.. nice idea.. but we cant handle that kind of interest.
- sorry to say. you have no idea what you're talking about on this one. basically an IP ban will not ban someone these days since most ppl have dynamic ips and/or access via web-proxy (e.g aol users) ... i already said this in another post i know you've read.. but yet again you ignore me.... ohh and I've also given people many many chances... for example how many times did I let 'myrealname' back... verbalassaulta is supposed to be banned right now isnt he? jamal... 4/5/8 something like that times.. and he's still here.

On the last one you are right Seer.
But the promotion must be possible. How come other side can handle it like official sites? How much would it cost extra to get such a bandwidth?

official sites get paid for by record labels... this gets paid for by some spare cash out of my pocket.. i really dont think u want the forum overrun with 1000s new signups over the course of a few days... it would be uncontrollable.
you werent around when this forum was originally created.. but part fo the reason it was created was to escape a situation where that was happening.
on the money thing...
- you cant expect people to put in money of their pockets... you cant plan a stable business based around a random 'good will' gesture.. people would maybe do it once...but every month regularly? if the hostings gotta be paid regularly monthly.. its gotta be paid for somehow...
- you know people would also start demanding changes, to be mods and for so and so to be banned because they've contributed and I aint down for that.
we have room to grow quite a bit now i've upgraded the forum to YaBB SE, when we were on yabb cgi - which uses a lot more resources even for the same posts.. we were in trouble nearly every month.... upgrading cut our bandwidth down by a third.. and sped things up.
you really think i've been running this shit 2 1/2 years and this stuff never crossed my mind?

First I would is make possible for users to delete their post/threads.
I would limit Joe Dick/Haterplayer to 1 post a day.
Get rid of the whole Westcoast theme....because we all know Westcoast rap is dead.
I would also spell porn correctly on the main page.

make banning someone more difficult here is my idea( if i the overseer thinks someone should be banned....i nominate him to be banned(only i can do this) and make a thread in g spot and have a 72 hour voting held when all members can decide this persons fate...like a democracty)
have a chat room in this site( i know you have on on mIRC, but not goes there...if it was on the site anyone on the site could get on it...just think of the battles that would go on there!!)
make a beef section...it would get rid of a lot of spam in other threads

I wouldn't unban people. I'd ban more people, and report repeat offenders to the board provider (still YaBB?), due to breach of agreed rules.
I'd have TOT have a restricted posting policy, that is to say: those who are found wanting in their behaviour are banned from that one forum, reinstatement pending on changing their ways (though of course this may be impractical in technicla terms). I'd rename it Elysium.

Man, look at you. You are claimin you would want a beef board, but you would ban the people that had beef with you like Hater and Hector. lol, that is why seer's board has lasted as long as it has. He has telorence. I seen him put up with peoples shit left and right, and it rarely phases him. Ya'll crack me up. There is a reason this board has lasted so long. I've seen a ton of forums fall apart real quick, and it surprises me to see peeps busting on seer, cause he does better than 99.9% of the admins I've encountered. I wouldn't want to have his job on this board.

i would ban them cuzz there obviously Alias's u fool! and then them having beef with me will push it for me to ban them more! me and Sinister use to have beef but i wouldnt ban him same with Grinch... im out!!!
