Did anyone else see Rakim Allah on BET Awards? He was there presenting with Baby from CashMoney. I swear that nicca is smooth as shit.....also good news...he stated that his album was gonna come out THIS SUMMER on Aftermath!!!!! Damn...good news.

Yup, I saw him give out the award with Baby from Cash Money. Very excited to hear something about the album directly from him, a reliable source. This summer...... meaning the time is near!!!!!

The one thing I hated about it was, he plugged his album. I can't STAND when people do that at award shows. It's disrespectful as hell to the people you're presenting the award to.

It's typically disrespectful... people don't care about other people anymore, it's like a mentality. That's why I liked Cedric the Entertainer, Bow Wow asked him about it, and he said
"Um, I don't have no album comin' out... but I do have barbecue plates after the show, 5 bucks, lemme know"
Cedric and Michael Jackson were the only 2 that showed up and didn't have anything to promote, LITERALLY. Every single other person promoted something. Tacky as fuck, If I want to know when albums are coming out, I'll go find out, I ain't buying none of their stuff if they want to be like that about it.
Again though, like O said, Rakim doesn't really count, becuase people really were wondering when his album's coming out.
And I don't mind people like Puffy doing it backstage, because he's not presenting, he's just doing an interview, plug away. When you're on stage though, that's just tacky.
I think the first person that ever did it was ODB, when he jumped on during Wyclef and Erykah Badu's performance that time.
