I dont get what is wrong with them buying good players. I mean its like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United, they might have alot of good players but its just a team. Money aint everything, if they buy a good player the other team just needs all there players to play well on the day.

Nah it's different.
First of all the Yankees buy players, with no intention of really playing them much, just so other teams can't use them. For example it's like United buying El Hadji Diouf just so Liverpool can't have him and United never playing him.
Secondly Baseball is far less a team sport than Football (Soccer). While there is considerable teamwork in the fielding, the pitcher (one player) is far more important to the team than anyone else.
You can't really compare the two.
But Tom can't say the Yankees have definitely brought themselves the World Series cause wtf happened last year? Nothing is certain.

First of the Yankees are already in first place, why the fuck do they need Mondesi? TO IMRPOVE?! From great to the greatest I guess. They literally want no competition. U can gather the poorest 8 teams and they still wont reach the payroll of the yankees which is 140,000 million. All through the lineup, there is trouble for the opposing pitcher. The only players I like from the Yankees are the the players that the Yankees actually brought up and trained. LIke Jeter and Sorriano. but not GIAMBI the freakin Franchise player for the A's turned Yankee. ands a "leader" along with other 10 players. I kinda agree with the players now....this is the whole point of the strike. the LUxury Tax after u exceed a certain salary cap. Which means u have to pay a certain amount of money after u reach a certain salary cap, and the players still get their UNION rights and so on. but no the damn owners dont want. stupid asses. Dumb ass yankees , with that move, they are just adding gasoline to the fire.
