Title: AT&T Broadband ....people.....???

i know many of yall have cable mode.....does anybody have at&t....cuzz i gots a question....but maybe somebody can help me out....ok.....i have this other computer that i want to connect to the internet....but i dont want to network them right now.........i just want to see if i can just unplug....the cable from the ethernet card.....and hooke it up to the other computer's ethernet card....and just  go online like that......but i cant.....do i need to do something first to the other computer???? can someone help me out.........i know u have to do something but dont know what exactly.........help!!

I got AT&T but I'm not too familiar.

I think you gotta install the info about the modem to the computer. The dude that came over and installed it did something like that.

you prolly need to install a software which comes in a CD with ur cable package, if that does'nt works....u have to copy ur netowrk settings to the other computer...that shud wrk 100%...PM me or hit me up on AIM...i'll tell u how.,...its eazy though.

I have AT&T BB also, my boy actually just got some virus that wiped his entire shit up. When he cleaned his it up, he had to re-install the AT&T shit, all he did was call AT&T and they walked him through a few steps to install the it again. So I think you should be able to hook up your other PC without any cd installation.
