first he wanted to go, then he wanted to stay and now hes been sent home. :o
it seems like keane is goin mad to me. he is constantly slaggin of his teams mates both at man u and ireland.
its a shame cause it will be a big loss to the world cup and to ireland s chances.

He's a bit of a madman, but the job of a MANAGER is to manage his players effectively. Alex Ferguson is one of the best managers ever mainly because of this ability to manage his players.
Mick Mcarthy has gone and fucked up, goodbye Ireland cause your not getting anywhere now.

Keane has often complained about the organisation of the Irish Football association. The training facilities are supposedly poor, the organisation for travelling is inadequate ie. the executives, manager, trainers travel in first class and the players in second class.
Once they got to Japan, Keane raised his concerns over the quality of the facilities. Ireland have again seemed unable to give their players any level of adequate training apparatus, workout machines etc.
Yesterday, Keane decided he would leave, after a bust up with the goalkeeping coach (Bonner). In training, the coaches had decided to play outfield players in goal. Keane (who is carrying a knee injury) was concerned about going in goal (as you would be if you had no experience of being a keeper and were injured). He had a massive argument and said he would leave. He was persuaded to stay.
With many other players echoing Keane's concerns a team meeting was called today. There was another argument between manager (Mick Mcarthy) and Keane. Mcarthy then sent Keane home.
Once again Roy Keane has refused to be treated like a piece of meat by his international team. He has taken a stand.

This is a fucking disgrace. Clash of ego's. Just watched his interview, im with him. It's taking up the whole news coverage here. We have less chance now but we'll still do better than the brits ahahahahahaha...

Keane should have realised that no one player is bigger than the team. I am behind Mick Mccarthy on this one.
Did anyone see the press conference with the FAI. It was hilarious when the press were saying that it was Roy Keane that took Ireland to the World Cup and then the FAI bloke replied by saying that you could say that Steve Staunton got us to the World Cup. LOL.
