Just try it one day.
Go and ask people. Get your highschool history text book. Go to the world map. Ask them to point at the country where the Palestinians are located. Sounds simple huh? Then go try it. After you try that. Then you'll understand why this country supports George Bush and the so-called war on terrorism. Dumb people voted for a dumb president, simple as that.
This is something that is in the news every day! The Palestinian crisis. Yet the average Joe America doesn't even know where the Palestinians are located. Seriously! Go to the mall or your job and ask people.
If people really new that not that for the last 2,000 years that land had belonged free and clear to the Palestinians, and that in just the last century it has all the sudden became Isreal, people would change their minds. It's simple logic. The Palestinians have been driven from their land.
The United Nations, after World War two was trying to figure out what to do with all these Jewish people who were being persecuted in Europe. It's funny, because they thought of many countries that they might want to put them in, they thought of Argentina, and the government said, "If you put them here, we will kill them all, don't put them here". Nobody wanted them. Yet, the Western Powers of the world got together and said, we are going to put them in Palestine whether the people there like it or not.

for those who don't know my grandma who use to live in utah married some canadian dude a few years back and that's where she lived. i visited when she had cancer for about 7 month and i can honestly speak on the candians I experienced. for one yeah a lot of canadians are blind or misguided as to what the united states and CALIFORNIA is and is like. everytime my grandma introduced me to some she said "this is my grandson from california," everyone would be like "oooh i hear there's a lot of guns out there " "have you ever been shot at?" "how many people have you seen die" they think this whole place is chalk full of gangs who run around and sit on their front pourches shooting at each other all day throwing up gang signs. they also think if you're wearing the 'wrong' colors a bullet is going to strike you out of no where like a security system or something and if you do the "west side sign" you're going to get shot" there's a lot of paranoid people up there as well as in montana and wisconsin......the whole great WHITE north

i agree that ignorance has partly led to this war. i am totally against the war. i think the mear idea of constant war to acheive consatnt peace is stupid. however, i also think that we need to express more understanding in these views, because this si obviously an issue that could spark up a lot of tension if we r not careful, and that would defeat the object.

Toronto isn't Canada, it's Toronto. Vancouver is the second worst city in North America (behind Miami) for proprty crimes (mugging, b&e, vandalism, gta). In Vancouver, you lock your doors. And there are some places downtown, that normal people just don't go (the eastside). I'm not sayin it's all gangsta gangsta, but, it's just common sense to watch your own ass. That micheal moore movie only showed the good things about 1 or 2 cities in Canada, it didn't show the whole truth.
