At the end of the day..
* Eminem talks like a black person, raps like one, and dress like one.
* Eminem used to date black women (Might still do it, for all we know)
* Eminem works in a industry where 99.5% of his collegas are black.
* Eminem works with 99% black people, the remaining 1% are (mostly) record execs.
* Eminem have 6 artists signed to his label, 10 if you count G-Unit, and 10 of 10 are black.
* Eminem is producing tracks for other rappers, and as of yet, 100% of these are black.
If Eminem is a racist, he's in the wrong business, and working/rapping/meeting/producing for the wrong people.

The track is titled Foolish Pride.
I don't consider calling black chicks money hungry racism.
-
man...he ain't racist man...hell nah. him and d12 grew up together ever since they were kids....
-
Not to mention that most of his beefs are with non-blacs [Everlast, ICP, Benzino,etc...].

Well, he doesn't really "talk" black anymore, like he used to. He sounds pretty regular now, IMO. How do you rap black? His dress, well, I guess you can say he dresses black, but eh...
* Eminem used to date black women (Might still do it, for all we know)
I don't like Salvadoreans much, but I'll still date their women. Tjat don't mean I like them.
* Eminem works in a industry where 99.5% of his collegas are black.
This is why there is so much contraversy.
* Eminem works with 99% black people, the remaining 1% are (mostly) record execs.
This is the same thing as above.
* Eminem have 6 artists signed to his label, 10 if you count G-Unit, and 10 of 10 are black.
Well, if you think about it, they work for him. Slave drivers had all blacks on the plantation right?
* Eminem is producing tracks for other rappers, and as of yet, 100% of these are black.
This is pretty much the same as the 99% of the industry is black statement.
If Eminem is a racist, he's in the wrong business, and working/rapping/meeting/producing for the wrong people.
There are racist rappers out there. I mean real rappers who are racist. It's not impossible. There's Nazi Rock music, why not rap?
I'm not saying Em is racist, just arguing your points, since no one else will. Like I've stated before, I could give a fuck if he called blacks "niggers." It may sound hypocritical, but as long as he ain't dissing Latinos, it don't concern me.
-
lol...if there was a "dont care" choice on there i woulda put that but i put no...i really could care less if he is...as long as he makes good music i dont give a shit...
* Eminem works in a industry where 99.5% of his collegas are black.
* Eminem works with 99% black people, the remaining 1% are (mostly) record execs.
uhhh...jome....you said the exact same thing there...so is it 99% or 99.5...cuz im a little confused on that ;D

Let's just say this. Well we are young, we all make stupit mistakes. Especially when we don't know better, and are fustrated. Eminem, as you can tell by his music, is full of anger, and rage, and channels it in his music. So like he said, he was pissed that day, I believe. Though sometimes we reget it, he says he regets the track. I believe him, I'm not him, I don't know what he really meant, so I have to take him for his word.
-
Cube's "Cave Bitch" > Eminem song.

The highlighted words are either spelled wrong, or grammatically incorrect.

maybe he is....maybe he is not a racist...its not my problem....but i would love to see what other rappers think about him.now..................
-
Is this reaaaaaaaaally em????????????????? that song sounds NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTHIN like him. And this shit is horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrendous.

Is this reaaaaaaaaally em????????????????? that song sounds NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTHIN like him. And this shit is horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrendous.
thats because its 10 years old...listen to the infinite album.
-
it was a racist statement in that track but he isn't racist.. if he was he'd lead a pretty damn sad life with nearly only black friends..
-
93 Em -> 96 Em has to be one of the greatest improvements in hiphop's history
-
1. he's a rapper. so he probably grew up idolising black people.
2. his best friends are d-12
3. he works with people like dr. dre, xzibit, 50 cent, nate dogg, obie trice
HE'S OBVIOUSLY RACIST
seriously, why are people making such a big deal outta this. this is what gayzino wants. besides, if eminem is racist what about mc ren???
peace

Ain't no reason to even be wondering if he is. The whole thing is ridiculous.
-
Yeah, he's racist, he obviously doesn't like White people. The only 3 he knows are Kim, Hailie, and Jimmy Iovine, He makes songs about Killing Kim, he HAS to work with Jimmy; so I guess he only likes 1 white person in the world.
-
All Eminem needs now is Hitlers moustache.
Im joking, i dont think he's a racist.
-
no.....who gives a fuck if he is n e way...aint we all kinda racist at the end of the day.
I bet there is nobody on this board who hasn't sat down with their friends and dissed or laugh at white/black/chinese/spanish/pacistani people etc. Its just the way of the world.
-

Exxxaaactly..... I find it funny that everyone is like "Oh, lets see what people think about him now..." Fuck all of that. It's stupid. Of course he'd be called a racist. He's a white guy talking about black people (black women). If whites crack jokes at minorities, it's racism. If minorities crack jokes about whites, it's considered humor.

That's what the "officials" had to say:
Russell Simmons' Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HHSAN) has released a statement revealing its position on controversial lyrics Eminem wrote about African-Americans in a rap recited in 1993.
[...]
Dr. Benjamin Chavis, President of HHSAN, said that the race card is often used to divide the hip-hop culture.
"Hip-hop culture transcends race," Chavis noted. "We, therefore, must be careful as to how the race card is played to divide people rather than to encourage unity in the struggle for freedom, justice and equality for all."
The support of Simmons' non-profit organization comes on the heels of Eminem apologizing for the remarks, saying they were made out of anger and frustration.
[...]
The Source has refused to take the raps as “foolishness,” as Eminem put it in a retort. "These are racist remarks by someone who has the ability to influence millions of minds," said editor-in-chief Kim Osorio to New York Newsday.
The tape is the latest in a series of insults hurled at each other, which includes diss records from both sides, The Source printing articles and posters aimed at discrediting Eminem and Eminem smashing his Source Award to pieces this year at Hot 97's Summer Jam concert.

Yeah, an even if he was being racist against blacks on purpose, the tape is ten years old and of little significance today. He was just venting a little frustration, that's all.
-

lol you make a good point

Is D-12 really his homies? I mean, we don't know that. Everyone thinks Snoop and Dre are real homies, but they're just co-workers. I see the same thing with Em and D-12. Contract homies. Almost everyone in Hip Hop are contract homies. I think C-N-N are the only real homies out there.
Again, since none of us are close to Eminem or D-12, we wouldn't know their real relationship.
I got a good example. I don't like MOST Salvadoreans that I meet. But, I still have 4 or 5 friends, good friends at that, who are Salvadorean. Either way, I still dislike Salvadoreans. So, just because Em is "friends" with D-12, doesn't mean he's not racist. And, just because he made this tape, doesn't mean he is racist. I've made racist jokes, I don't think I'm a racist.
-

I don't think that Em' would've asked some people to build a group, although he didn't like them - that doesn't make sense. And if there were no friendship between them, why felt Em' obligated to bring them in the news after he was a "big-name" in the rap-game? It's another situation than the one between Snoop and Dre, because they never really were a group, they just featured each other on their projects and helped out with beats or vocals. But anyway I think that they were big friends at the time "The Chronic" and "Doggystyle" were released. Dre pushed Snoop's career, I don't think that he would've done that for somebody he didn't cares.

Yup.
Goldie Loc and Tray Deee are great examples. They probably would've killed each other on the street, but money made them come together. Money talks homie.
-
You didn't read my posting properly, especially the first sentence. When they built that group back in the days nobody could've known that Eminem will blow up, so the money-thing can't be the real reason. I still think they were friends and still are.
-

its possible that was all bullshit though...they may just say that they were all good friends and they built the group back in the day to put out a certain image for the group.
-
dunno about all of em but Proof n Em been down with each other for 11 years.. none of em was shit when the first met/decided to form a group later on so the money was definatly not what brought/kept them together for such a long ass time

I liked Pistol Pistol and Fight Music alot and I expect the new one to have more of these 'serious' kind of tracks instead of comedy tracks like purple pills and pop artist disses.. Swift is consistent as fuck he always comes dope.. Proof can be very dope and well I hope Bizarre won't be on too many tracks.. I don't think this will be disappointing to people who like Em's and Kon Artists productions but we'll see..

yeah...those were the faults of DK, bizarre was on it for one...and the more comedic tracks were annoying as fuck...but if em can get d12 to drop an album like the eminem show then i would definetely be happy.
-
Em & Bizarre have been "friends" since Em was in highschool. Bar Swifty, all of them have been "friends" for about 10 years, Swift only came in later after Bugz was killed since he was Bugz's friend
Em & Proof have been friends since like year 8 in highschool, Proof used 2 buy Em shoes for fucks sake, heh!

For the last time, that "racist" track by Eminem wasn't a song, it was 100% freestyle.

No, because all the "freestyles" he's released had pre-written shit in them. This track could have been done while he was high off PCP, for all we know. It was never intended to be released. The others were.

ROFL
I like how the Source backs up their shit by saying that "the lyrics were made by someone who has the opportunity to influence millions of fans"...
Stupid Source bitches. If the tape was made 10 years ago, he wasn't in the position to influence millions... They act like this tape is a recording of something he said last week...
-
they're the one's making it accessible to millions of fans. Everybody sees through their shit, they're not changing anybody's minds. People that hate the source still hate the source, people that defend the source still defend the source.
-
Can someone post the song?
