Like said above.. pretty much all gangstar beats are solid.

I saw recently that you could buy an instrumental version of Gang Starr's 'The Ownerz' album. I seriously might cop it if I get the chance, since I am feeling damn near every one of Preem's beats.
I used to have a bunch of his instrumentals on my computer. There was a tight beat that he did for KRS-One. Can't remember the name of the song right now though... ???
Other than that, I'd have to recommend Premier's track for Snoop 'The One and Only', which has been mentioned above. Its such a tight beat - the way he makes use of those Snoop samples is pure genius and its definately my favourite track off 'Paid Tha Cost...'.

I already downloaded that instrumental-version, but I got to say that I liked his previous productions a lot more.

Clap your hands everybody, if you got what it takes/ Cuz I'm KRS, and I'm on the mic, and Premier's on the breaks 8) "MC's Act Like They Don't Know" ;)

Agreed - one of the best Snoop tracks of the last years.
-
Most of the dopest ones have already been mentioned, but I gotta add:
Gangstarr - Work
MOP - Follow Instructions, New Jack City
Nas - Represent, New York State of Mind
Jay Z - D'Evils, Bring It On
Oh, and by the way Ante Up wasn't Premo, it was DR Period.
-
Another one that comes to my mind is "Invincible" by Capone-N-Noreaga 8) And now as I see the Jay-Z mentions, I think of "Friend Or Foe '98". Great production!
-
Ah, thanks T'cha! I couldn't remember that KRS-One track at all and you brought it all back to me. I want to hear that track again! :D
-
Nas - It Aint Hard To Tell
i dont like his modern day shit, i mean, it sounds dope, but every beat sounds like the other ::)
-
Nas - It Aint Hard To Tell

ooh really?! someone once told me that it was a primo production
lol@large professor making a beat titer than anything primo did
well in that case
NY State Of Mind is IMO primo's best beat
-

No shit? That sounds like Premo like a mufucka. I just assumed he did the beat.
-
Gangstarr - Mass Appeal
-
juronimo, I was checking my cd single booklet for the 'Ante Up remix' feturing Busta, Remy Martin and Tephlon and Dr Period produced it, but according to the liner notes Primo mixed that shit ;) I know what you are talking about though, that cut does have that distinctive Premier sound to it.
