Title: WCC Muslim Brotherhood Newsletter Vol. 4
Post by: King Tech Quadafi on June 19, 2002, 04:05:26 PM
Bismillahir Rahman E Raheem

After a small hiatus due to hectic schedules and what not,
the Muslim newsletter is back in business

Im doing this weeks newsletter at the belated request of Infinite

Today I wanna discuss the role of Islam in the long line of monothesitic religions, namely Christianity and Judaism

Islam believes that Islam follows each of these religions,
one after the other.  However each of the aforementioned religion, we believe, strayed off the path of Allah.
Judaism's refusal of recognition of Prophet Issa (AS) (Jesus)
and Christianity's divine placement of Jesus.  The Torah, the Old Testament and the Holy Quran are all almost exactly similiar in its text and message.

Islam recognizes the Torah and the Bible as legitimate words of Allah, however, we believe that they were changed by Man, to the point where the original message was blurred.
The Holy Quran is merely an update of the Torah and the Old Testament.

"And this Quran is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allah (Lord of the Heavens and Earth_, but on the contrary, it is a confirmation of revelation that was before it (ie. Torah and the Gospel) and a full explanation of the Book.
(ie. Laws and orders etc decreed for mankind) wherein there is no doubt from the Lord of the Alamin (mankind and jinns and all that exists)"
(V.10:37)

As a result of the close link between our religions, the Holy Quran has decreed that Christains and Jews be recognized as the "People of the Book".  Specifically, that they follow the earlier word of Allah, however they have not updated their thoughts and beliefs to accept the Quran.

Saalaamualaikum
