Title: "Rubberband Man" Is The Best Single So Far This Year
Post by: SGV on March 23, 2004, 10:58:13 AM
I was stuck on "Hyphy" for a minute, but "Rubberband Man" is easily the best single this year. The beat is knockin'. T.I. rips it something serious.

"Rubberband man wild as the Taliban!"

Is this a joke?  ::)

T.I. track = average
Lil Flip track = average
Petey Pablo track = garbage

Not saying its the best single of 2004 but this track is better than all those listed above.

Cam'Ron - Get 'Em Girl/Killa Cam

^^^Do you listen to lyrics?

If T.I. and Flip's tracks are average, then Cam'Ron's track would rank among the lowest of low(which it already does.)

Jesus!

LMAO @ You man. You can no longer speak on Hip Hop. You've been banned. Anyone who thinks those lyrics above are better than any sensical rap lyric is inept.

1. Lil Jon runs shit on the production side. Once again, you are an idiot.
2. You don't know what good lyrics are, since you think Cam'Ron has hot lyrics. T.I. and Flip are ten times the emcee that Cam, Juelz or Jim Jones are. Period. Petey Pablo is booty, I never even mentioned him. Stop bringing him up.
3. Nelly has better lyrics than Cam'Ron.

Wow! You keep making dumber posts by the minute. "Rubberband Man" is far from Crunk.

SnoopGogg: Listen to the new T.I. and Lil Flip CDs, believe me. They can spit. Petey Pablo is wack, I don't know why his name is brought up. Lil Jon don't even rap, what are you judging?

Considering your name, I know who you like. The same man that got ripped by every Southerner he worked with, that would include T-Bo.

Craig: Blame the radio programmers, not the South. It's not their fault they make catchy tracks, it's the radio programmers not having a mind of their own.

Crunk would be "Never Scared," "D.S.G.B.," "Damn," "Headbussa," "Neva Eva," those are Crunk jams. "Rubberband Man" is far from that. Seriously man, it makes no sense to even call it Crunk.

as far as i'm concerned the only famous southern rappers that can spit are Outkast, Ludacris, 8Ball, and that's about it. Little Brother is dope, but they're underground. I'm not sure if cunninlynguists are from South, but theyr'e dope as well. tell me 1 track from each T.I. and Lil' Flip that u think showcases their skills best, i'll get them and i might change my mind, cuz everything i heard so far was garbage. by the way, the David Banner song "on tha floor" or whatever, was bitten from UGK's "Take it off", and it became a huge hit. I hate when somebody bites another rappers song and becomes famous off it.

"Tipsy" is horrible, but great at a club. "Salt Shaker" came out last year. "Neva Eva" is coo, but nothing amazing. "Them Jeans" is also horrible, but great at a club, as well.

Rodzilla/Luke/SUV what can I say stupid people think alike...SUV didn't school no 1.

He hasn't proven anything.
Stupid people try to prove Cam has good lyrics. LOL. I didn't school "no" 1 huh? Right. Dumbass. What do I have to prove? It's an opinion. I proved that you know absolutely nothing about lyricism.

lol I like how you changed words around...you and Trauma have something in common.

I never tried to prove Cam had good lyrics...but I said he got better lyrics than TI/Lil Flip and any other Crunk biatchs jock strap your holding.

DONE

TI & Lil Flip are far from Crunk

if this is the best single out, then you know rap is fucking horrible right now...this song is hot trash on a high school pep rally beat....it took this moron 2 years to throw Tailiban in a song? cause other than this shitty song....i haven't heard about the taliban in years.... i guess with this guys middle school vocabulary, it's kinda hard to rhyme al qaida.....

Again, you tried proving Cam's lyricism to another rapper and failed. Flip may have some Crunk jams, but he's not your typical "Crunk" rapper. He has a variety of tracks. And he rips a Heatmakers beat way better than Cam. Check his new album. T.I. also may appear on some Crunk jams, but again he's not a "Crunk" rapper. He can spit on a Jazze Pha club track, Kanye West soul track, gutter David Banner beat or even a poppy Neptunes beat. You don't know about him.

You change your name to "Tecca Nina," "Killa Cam" etc. Who's riding dicks here?

Yup. Everyone knew that was Pimp-C. Seems like you're the only one who didn't. And many people have used a sample in their lead single. One comes to mind. Dr. Dre - Nuttin' But A G Thang.

Lil Jon is respected enough to have Eminem and Nas(whom MANY Hip Hop Heads respect and love) spit on his beats. Who else has rapped on Lil Jon beats? Bun B, Jadakiss, Styles P, M.O.P., Naughty By Nature, Too Short, E-40, 8-Ball & MJG, Ludacris. It goes on man. If these people thought he was a joke, they wouldn't hop on his beats.

Lil Jon was still a small time producer on an Independent Major at the time(which he's still on). It's not like he had huge numbers and was ballin'. It wasn't like he could offer them all kinds of cash. So, if there's no money involved they did it out of respect. It's obvious you don't know man. You're the moron trying to say they don't have respect, but have no proof. Go head and come back with another lame response, you've still been proven wrong.

I Got 5 On It Did NOT Sample That Club Nouveau song.  It sampled Kool and the Gang's "Jungle Boogie".  Tone Capone REPLAYED the melody from "Why You Treat Me So Bad".  There is a difference.

Whereas Necro does his own production, but Non-Phix had tons of other producers on the album. So, that is a HORRIBLE analogy. You're riding these guys WAY too hard. At the same time, you're not proving anything, aside from you being an idiot.

First off, Fernando, I was using your style of "humor" to show you how stupid and unfunny it sounds...Second off, Necro produced more than 70% of the Non-Phixion album...Del and Ice Cube have two completely different styles, you dumbass...YOU CAN'T EVEN COMPARE.

How the fuck is Non-Phixion hip-hop? Dude, Non-Phixion is the definition of hip-hop...They're so dope that they got beats from DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Professor, The Beatnuts, and other legends...And that's without a budget...

Read the whole thing before you decide to reply...Now cut my grass.

Check this out Shlomo.

Khujo Of The Goodie Mob, Ludacris, Too Short, Big Kap, Three 6 Mafia, Gangster Boo, The YoungBloodz, 8Ball And MJG, Jazze Pha & M.O.P. were all on "Put Yo Hood" this was the album that blew Lil Jon up. So, he was still nothing more than a producer that not many knew about. It's obvious they weren't looking at him as $$$. Yea, you wouldn't know that though, you're busy thinking Necro is a Hip Hop God.

This was your response.

You're such an idiot...They didn't have to respect <the artist> just to be on that track...And even if, most of the people you listed would also work with Nelly and Ja Rule...THAT DOESN'T MEAN SHIT...Ahhh, when will they learn?

LMAO @ killing yourself with your own statements.

Rapping a verse on an anthem type track, and giving them a beat for free (which you can sell for thousands of dollars) is a lot different, you fat fuckin idiot.

It's unfunny to you, because you're getting clowned.

Del and Cube are cousins, so since Ill Bill and Necro are brothers, then the fans should like both artists. Otherwise you wouldn't have made that lame ass point. Also, the production features from The Beatnuts, Pete Rock, Premo is the ONLY reason I, and any other cat I know with the Non-Phix album even checked it.  And, just because we have the album, that don't mean everyone likes it. I got plenty of albums I don't like.

Rapping a FREE verse on an anthem type track(which you can sell for thousands of dollars) is NOT different, you oblong nosed piece of shit. Whether it's anthem track or just a regular track, they're giving their services which they usually get paid a lot for, all free. It's the same shit. Whether a beat or a rhyme. Damn! You've been served AGAIN.

People checked Non-Phixion for their lyrical skill, content, and overall skill...All of the East Coast was hyped over tracks like "The CIA is trying To Kill Me", "Black Helicopters", etc...I brought up the fact that Ill Bill and Necro were brothers, because they have the same rhyming style, and grew up rapping together, unlike Del and Ice Cube, you dumb grass-cutting piece of shit...And I'm sorry, but nobody can just sell verses they've already recorded...With beats, you can sell them 5 years after they were made...That's the difference, fatso.

P.S. how is calling me different "Jewish" names in every post funny?

How many people have you polled? All the people I know checked them due to their production line up.

All of the East Coast was hyped? Were you in the East Coast when this happened?

Remember, Del helped Cube write when he went solo. You Matzah eating scumbag.

Being able to sells beats 5 years later, that has nothing to do with anything. The point is, people sell beats, people sell verses. Where's the Cricket when you need him? He needs to come give you some advice man.

Once again, Del helped Cube write. So, obviously, a little of Del's style was put into Cube's EARLY music. Just because you didn't know that, don't mean shit. See, I already know you that you've gave up on trying to prove your point. You've shifted from music, to my looks. That's suspect.

lol, u really spendin sum time on this. SGV, you wanna say "Rock Stars", "If You Got Love" and "Suicide Bomb" are dope, but "Futurama", "Black Helicopters" and "Say Goodbye To Yesterday" ain't (production-wise) cause they done by necro? besides from what i know necro does quite well with his albums, so it ain't only internet forum nerd crack fiend block tricks who listen to him, even tho i'd personally take ill bill over him anytime

and him and ill bill are (technically) quite similar, ice cube and del are very different, but cube's early shit might have been influenced by del. i don't really think u can compare tho. i don't know what the point is, actually. u can dislike necro and like ill bill, but technically they're similar (rhyme structure, flow, use of their voices)...i just think ill bill's more interesting subject-wise

but if u give props to non-phix u do give props to necro automatically for what he did for them, u can still dislike necro the producer and necro the mc tho. same for dre and snoop, u a snoop fan u give props to dre for makin him blow up, but u can think dre can't rap and produces wack beats

Cube's best shit came from when Del was helping him write. So, during Cube's heyday, him and Del were comparable. When Cube puts thought into his lyrics, not just some gangsta shit, that's the Del in him.

Ill Bill is much better than Necro. Regardless if they're brothers or not. Jungle is Nas' brother, that don't mean you got to like Jungle. The way I see it, skill wise, Ill Bill s Nas. Necro is Jungle. I don't dig, and don't know many people who do, any of Necro's solo shit. Just like I know a few people who love N.W.A., but aren't huge fans of The Chronic. Necro's voice sucks. His flow sucks. He's just a horrorcore rapper, to me, with little versatility. To me, his beats are AIGHT. Nothing more. I can bet, cats like El-P, ECC, Immortal Technique etc. ALL do better than Necro does, in the Underground.

Also, NIK, you and the homo from Bakersfield are literally the only people on here who call me fat. The rest of WCC. Please. The rest of WCC thinks you're a fuckin' idiot who's been banned tons of times and writes E-Mails to come back to the forum.

SGV, I'm only tryina point out Ill Bill and Necro technically got a similar style, flow, rhyme pattern etc., but i prefer Ill Bill's voice and way of spittin too and i think he is more versatile. But whereas i don't know about shit jungle did to get nas' career started, necro helped ill bill and non-phix to come up in the game. and beats like "Agent Orange" (Cage) or "The CIA Is Tryin To Kill Me" are way more than aight IMO

And i'm 95% sure about sales numbers sayin necro does better than at least IT (he got a nice net fanbase, but he ain't sold much) and ECC, I'm not sure about El-P
