if you think about it

lyrics = diplomatic immunity >> chronic

production = diplomatic immunity >> chronic

The greatest gangsta rap album ever?

I respect your opinion but it strikes me as an over-blown statement... what about Straight Outta Compton for a start? Criminal Minded if you want to talk East Coast? The Diplomats didn't do anything to elevate the genre or bring anything even remotely new to the table...  ???

i agree on "The chronic" bein nuthin really special lyrically but '92 those lyrics were just as good as the dipset lyrics in '02

and as for the production that's 2 very different styles, modern east coast gangsta shit and back in the days g-funk but Chronic << Diplomatic Immunity NEVER IMO and i'm sure most people on here will agree with me on this

actually, i agree disc (book) two had sum filler material but all the dope songs on AEOM still would've been too much for one disc and DI had many mediocre songs on and could've easily been reduced to one disc

Brotha Lynch Hung - Loaded

and i ain't even left the west.

Jim Jones, before you even reply i ain't a dipset hater, but i think Diplomatic immunity was nuthin special at all and matter of fact i like most of my gangsta rap albums more than DI. And I doubt u wanna tell me one of the albums i listed ain't 'gangsta'...

3. open it up
4. point your finer at any place in the phonebook until you land on someone's name...

In my opinion ain't shit in the gangsta rap world comes close to The Chronic, everything from lyrcial content to song arrangment just flows gangsta.  Anything that comes close has to be The Lox-We are the Streets... There's nothing Dipset has done that hasn't been done by RR all ready, except maybe the whole color pink thing and flowing the weirdest streams of words together to keep a constant flow.

camron on 'bigger picture'

"i dont care where youve been or what jail,
go tell disney all your fukin ducktales"

actually that is a good line. you got that song untagged? I dl'd one version of mirc a while back, the beat was tweek'd and no dj yellin over it but all my files got erased...

i got both versions, i think the one off the 'dipset byrdgang vol 1' mixtape is better. cop that mixtape cos its a straight classic.

all eyes on me - 3.5 mics (should have been 1 cd, unlike diplomatic immunity)

Now I know I can't take you seriously.

actually, i agree disc (book) two had sum filler material but all the dope songs on AEOM still would've been too much for one disc and DI had many mediocre songs on and could've easily been reduced to one disc

Brotha Lynch Hung - Loaded
Brotha Lynch Hung - Season Of Da Siccness
Brotha Lynch Hung - 24 Deep
Mr. Doctor - Setrippin Bloccstyle
South Central Cartel - All Day Everyday
South Central Cartel - N Gatz We TRuss
Havoc & Prodeje - Kickin Game
2pac - AOEM
2pac - Makaveli
Young Meek - South Area's Most
C-Bo - Gas Chamber
C-Bo - The Autopsy
C-Bo - Tales From The Crypt
C-Bo - Till My Casket Drops
Mac Mall - Illegal Business
Mac Mall - Untouchable
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
Snoop Dogg - The Doggfather
Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Dr. Dre - 2001
Kurupt - Tha Streetz Is A Mutha
Kurupt - Space Boogie
DPG - Dogg Food
X-Raided - Psychoactive
Celly Cel - The G-Filez
COS - Siccmade Rituals
Warren G - Regulate
Jayo Felony - Crip Hop
...

and i ain't even left the west.

Jim Jones, before you even reply i ain't a dipset hater, but i think Diplomatic immunity was nuthin special at all and matter of fact i like most of my gangsta rap albums more than DI. And I doubt u wanna tell me one of the albums i listed ain't 'gangsta'...

warren g, pac, space boogie is gangsta???

i aint heard all of those albums but from what ive heard on that list, dip is way better

yes, IMO

Warren G - his album was called "The G-Funk Era"....G-Funk = gangsta funk and sum of the lyrics were indeed gangsta but i admit it was a comparatively harmless album

Pac - His shit was always considered gangsta ever since he got signed to Death Row and I intentionally left out his first 3 solos and THUG LIFE, but when he got affiliated with Death Row he got affiliated with Suge and Suge is undeniably gangsta and Pac rapped about gangsta shit too

Kurupt - He claims sum crip set, lotta people say he a fake but still his music is definitely gangsta, plus he says "gangsta" more than anybody out there

what on this list have u heard??

well...i don't exactly agree on this bein the best gangsta rap album ever but sum of the beats were hot

diplomatic immunity is 2 cd's full of crack!

if you think about it

lyrics = diplomatic immunity >> chronic

production = diplomatic immunity >> chronic

And you have to be on crack to write these reviews. Also the should be under Album reviews! but hey my :-X
