'Stone Cold' in domestic disturbance call
By SLAM! Wrestling
'Stone Cold' Steve Austin (real name Steve Williams) is once again facing allegations of domestic abuse.
According to on report on KSTAT, an ABC affiliate in San Antonio, Texas, police were called to his residence on Thursday night. In a police report, Austin’s girlfriend, Tess Broussard, 37, claims that during a heated conversation with Austin, he shoved her to the ground. Austin was not arrested or charged by police at the time. Broussard told police that she is considering filing charges against him at a later date.
In 2002, Austin pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of assault for hitting his wife Debra Williams (known as Debra McMichaels in the wrestling world) during a June 2002 argument at their San Antonio home. In the police report on the incident, it was stated that the altercation left Williams with a welt on her face and bruises on her back. Debra Williams told police that Austin has struck her “several times” during their argument.
Austin was sentenced to one year probation, fined $1000 U.S., ordered to attend a domestic violence counseling course, and directed to perform 80 hours of community service.
