Ya know how when you first get Window XP- your icons have a translucent background? Well how do you get that back? I dont like them being a color.

Start>Control Panel>System>Advanced>(under performance the top one) Settings>Let Windows choose whats best for my system or best appearance.

or scrolll through that thing and check what you want.

I did that but the text background still isnt translucent.

Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop

thats what its called. 2nd one from the bottom. i unchecked it and tested it. it puts a blue backround on the text of my icons. i checked it. now its transparent again. if that really doesnt do it then. odd
