Title: So much for listening to Eminem and D-12.. I can't overlook this
Post by: infinite59 on April 17, 2004, 11:46:50 PM
Eminem came out before I was even Muslim, back in highschool.  Back in the days when I was just looking for the next thing to stimulate my mind and escape from whatever my current reality was.  I never cared about all the offensive material on his records.

Even after all the changes in my life I still have love for hip-hop.  I was still interested to hear anything new from Eminem. But one of his records finally offended me.  In the new D-12 album there's a line where (Swift, I think) says something like "I'll even shoot at a Muslim too".  So I took the cd and threw it out the window.  So much for Eminem.

lol

dumbass...swift says "i'll even shoot at muslims too"...not saying HE DOES shoot muslims...in that he's saying he doesn't care who he's shooting at

So if eminem disses gays you don't get offended..but when one of his group member says somthing about muslims..THEN you get offended :P?

LMAOOOO...So Eminem can kill pregnant ladies, rape his mother, and slice his own wrists, but Swift "shoots at Muslims too", and you get your panties wet? Sorry dude, but you need to calm down on that Islam shit...I don't even think Mohammad would take offense to that record.

Nice to see you deleted your thread praising the album because of this comment...Here's a quote from the original thread:

-I think D-12 has stepped up their game and improved their skills from the last record but you wouldn't know it because the beats and concepts aren't as tight.

yeah, there ain't many artists who've said as much psychopathic and absolutely sick shit as Eminem has ever since "Hellbound"...Cage, Necro, Brotha Lynch Hung, Mr. Doctor, X-Raided maybe......uh yeah, that's about what I can think of. Now Swift says "I'll shoot at muslims too" and u throw ur cd outta the window ?? The word "too" to me makes this statement equal "I don't give a fuck what religion u are, I'll just cap you if i got a reason"...hence it equals "i shoot at christians too" or "i shoot at hindus too"....really, i don't get ur point at all

oh my god you are the biggest ass i have ever heard speak. what a fuckin retard. once again, this coming from the guy who said 'dre is better than beethoven and all those classic composers'. i think trauma said it best, 'your opinion on this board should not be paid attention to.'

Ibrahim, it's not that serious. I never much liked D-12, so this has no standing with me. I can see being a bit offended, but with shock artists like D-12 you should take everything said with a grain of salt.

Infinite, you know I'm the homie and all, but I think it's time you seek some help (I don't mean that in a bad way)...Even the Muslims on this board shot down your argument without hesitating...Sorry man, but the way you're isolating yourself is not healthy at all. :-\

'i'll make a muslim die his hair blond/make a redneck start reading the koran'

I don't remember that song.  But what's wrong with a Muslim dying his hair blonde?  When I was on Hajj I saw many Muslims there with blonde hair.  Just look at the Chechans in Russia.  And I'd love to see redneck's reading the Holy Qu'ran, it is a message for all of humanity.

Bizzare has another line even worse in the 1rst album where he says, "Reading the Holy Qu'ran/ while I'm on the john".  But that doesn't bother me either, because everyone has the right to denounce Islam.

It is a different issue altogether when someone is identifying themselves as an enemy to Islam and bragging "I would even shoot a Muslim too".  I can't overlook that.

On another note, I noticed some of Bizarre's words on track 3 was censored, and that's on the explicit retail..

Normally they don't do that, unless you say some REALLY outrageous shit, like Em talking about shooting Columbine kids, raping state secretaries, etc..
I wonder what he said.

They also censor it if you say anything about Jews.  On 2pac's "All Eyez On Me" they censored a line with Method Man referring to Hitler and Jews.  Micheal Jackson had his cd's recalled and pulled off the shelf cause he said "Jew Me" on one of his albums.  But you can say anything you want about Muslims on a record, and never get censored.  Why is that?  Because the media is owned by Jews. (proof of this on www.jewwatch.com)  Even D12's label is owned by a Jew, Jimmy Iovine.

Here's your problem, Infinite.  You don't have reliability.

For any argument to hold true, it has to have validity, and it has to have reliability.

You have validity, you're technically right.  People shouldn't listen to stuff where people are talking about killing people.  Period, Point, Blank.

Where your reliability goes out the window, though, is that you have no consistancy.  If we presented you with the same argument, you wouldn't consistantly (reliably) be against it, you'd only be against it when it affected you, when they said "muslim".  You could give a FUCK if it said "Christian" "Catholic", "Jew", or anything else.

You have no reliability, therefore your argument, like all your selfish petty arguments, is invalid.

Are you fucking kidding me? What about Talib Kweli, Paris, Ice Cube, Public Enemy, etc?...Infinite, you're really starting to lose it...

"I say kill whitey all nightey long, I stabbed a fucking Jew with a steeple...I
would kill a cracker for nothing, just for the fuck of it" -Menace Clan

"You take 'em to a label, now who sits behind the table?/A Jewish muthafucka that don't know shit." -Ice-T

I can go on forever dude...You're ignorant.

Man, this Ibrahim character is just playing himself, this shit is ridiculous.  Exactly what Trauma said, this fool would not care if it said Christian, etc etc

In fact, i am quite sure that he would like the song more if it said JEW.....it is sad, but with Bush's recent endorsement of Ariel Sharon (ISRAEL) over the Palestinians (Saudi, Jordan, Syria, etc), i expect to see a strong immergence of anti-Semitism.

While it is good Ibrahim that u have found some direction in your life through religion, does you realize you are more prejudice and judgemental of others than ever b4?  I'm not saying religion is wrong or without a positive purpose, but it seems to me that all it does is pit groups against each other.  I grew up Christian, but have since done research of many religions and from what i can gather it is a bunch of propaganda.  I do think religions help people to a certain degree, and some people need the support and comfort, but i cant help but notice the negatives as well.  Ibrahim, hopefully you stick with Islam but be a little more tolerant of other groups beliefs, and RELAX!
