Post by: Now_Im_Not_Banned on July 15, 2004, 05:21:35 PM

i like nissans a lot, especialy this 1, i myself own a 95 maxima...

this car kicks ass, i had trouble finding 1 on stick and black leather interior, but thats what i like, plus, theres a new 3.5 SER altima comin out, u might wana ask some dealerships about that, i saw it at a car show, its not much dif but has sportier features.

for 26k theres not many cars that are better,( i think the only better car all around is the new honda accord coupe v6 6 speed)...

but why u would want this over your g35...

Hey check this out though.  I wouldn't be buying a Nissan anytime soon if I were you.
Good thing you asked the forum first.

Here's some advice. Don't buy a new car. Do you know how much value it looses once you drive off the lot?

Look into some 2004 models. You'll save yourself a whole bunch of money and if you buy a certified pre-owned car from a dealer, you get the same warranty and shit as a new car.

Well, the G35 was way too expensive...And if you guys know anything about insurance, it's a lot more than 7 G's more...LOL.

Plus, I ain't buying this car, I'm leasing it, so it don't really matter...I think I'm gunna go with it...The payments are gunna be only $300 a month with $2,500 down...Pretty nice deal I got on it...I'm pickin' it up tomorrow, hopefully I'm satisfied with it...PeACe

300 a month for a fuckin nissan? are you fucking kidding me out of my brains? you lease a bmw for just about the same maybe like 50 bucks more and a porche for like 400, do you know the class difference between a nissan and a bmw and a porche, id rather shoot myself than pay 300 a month for a nissan

Nissans are cool, but I'd rather buy a Honda with that much money. ;) I like the Nissan Altimas and Maximas though. Before I'd pic a Altima over a Maxima, but now the only ppl around here that have Altimas are hoodrats. It's like if u see a Altima rollin the street where I live, u know a damn hood rat is ridin in it. :-\

You can lease a BMW 3 series in Canada for like 350.00 a month.

You're fuckin' stupid...First of all, if you ever did find a BMW or a Porche for 300 a month, the insurance is like 10X more than an Altima, and when you go to get it fixed or when buying new parts for the car, you have to pay up the ass...Not only that, but you will never find a new BMW for under 500 a month to lease...I've looked into BMW's, I found one used 2001 BMW with 46,000 miles on it for 350 a month lease...Trust me dog, I've been alllllll around, and I came to the conclusion that this is the best for me...I'm not stupid, I wouldn't take it if it wasn't a good deal...The dealer started at 400, and I jewed him down to 300 (lol)...It's a good deal...PeACe

Plus, when you see in newspapers 269 a month and all that bullshit, don't believe that...That's without tax and license, then they bring the price up because of all the extras...Those are all lies...So if you see a newspaper that says a new BMW 3 series is 350 a month, it's gunna end up really being about 450...PeACe

That's stupid...Like a lot of it isn't true...For example, I know that when you lease a car, you can always trade it in if you don't like it, so you're not stuck with it like that article states...Dude, I'm not leasing it, my parents are...I'm sure they know what they're doing, they've been around for a while, and have been leasing their cars since forever...PeACe

LOL leasing is not the way to go.  Buy a car, keep it for four or five years and then sell it.
Same thing except for the fact you get to sell your car when you buy.  ;D

DEEEEzzzz NuTz: lets say when I lease I only pay 18,000 in 5 years
DEEEEzzzz NuTz: and if i was buying it would be like 32,000
DEEEEzzzz NuTz: u see
DEEEEzzzz NuTz: then when i wanna sell the car i bought
DEEEEzzzz NuTz: ill only be selling it for like 10,000
DEEEEzzzz NuTz: when i payed 32,000 for it
DEEEEzzzz NuTz: so ill be losing 22,000
DEEEEzzzz NuTz: with a leased car ill only be losing 18,000
DEEEEzzzz NuTz: cuz thats all i payed

what a waste of money. i would never pay that much for that car. Its a fucking sedan, if you want a sedan buy a taurus, youll spend tons less. i agree with him though if your gonna spend 300 a month buy a better car.

^^ the difference between a taurus and an 05 nissan is huge. fuck a bmw, i mean.. nissans are really good car, and exept for a couple things, they r fuckin pimp, and luxurious. it faster than most 3 or 5 series BMWs (330 and 540 excluded)

truthfully, i agree with englewood, i would NEVER buy or lease a new car. u drive it off the lot, and it loses like 3 gs, right now, id get like a 02-03... also, i think people get beemers, cause they are beemers, and not casue they like em that much, dotn get me wrong, BWM is a fine automobile, but highly overated and overpriced. and brand new, 300 a month isnt THAT much... and plus, why u makin nissans seem bad, what does a beemer have that the nissan dont (other than rwd)..... and nik, are u getin manual or auto>?

a BMW is a "fine" car? highly overrated and overpriced? are you fuckin crazy? german cars are the best cars, if something is overrated/overpriced it's a chrysler or a lexus. btw if you become sane+rich sometime, buy the BMW/Porsche/Benz/Audi [...] in Germany and let it ship to the US. Sounds stupid, but is cheaper and the real deal  8)

all of you talking bout german cars are the best, especially audis dont know shit, no offense

talk to any mechanic, he'll tell you audi is very unreliable, plastic shit falling apart all the time

and to the fool who said Lexus is overpriced, haha and what about bmw? it has no advantages over the cars in its class except it has a BMW emblem

yes i wouldnt mind having a bmw but it's very overpriced and hard to afford, especially if you are a student

btw lexus/toyota/honda are rated way better in terms of reliablity than bmw or any german car

i rather overpay for lexus that will be very reliable than for a bmw that will falling apart all the time.....

BMW falls apart? LOL, you obviously don't know shit.

By the way, if you want to talk about "plastic", don't refer to German cars because those things are built to take a beating. I saw a Lexus GS 400 crash into the driver door of a S500, the front of the Lexus was completely fuckin gone, while the Mercedes had some scratches on the side of the door that was pushed in a little.

The only downside to German cars is the high cost of parts.

man unlike most of you i speak from experience, a lot of my friends own bmw, nissans, etc

When i said bmw falls apart, i am talking about them being reliable, they are not really, even if you look up reliability rating online you can see that lexus/honda/toyota are more reliable than german cars, and gs400 lexus crashing into s500 has nothing to do with being reliable

there is also a downside to germans cars because replacement parts cost a lot

Nissan is definatly well built. It shits on ANY american car for reliablity. Many of my friends have Maximas running on 200,000 miles and running strong. Most never had a major problem with theres besides the little shit. Altenator, Starter etc.
I might be getting an Infiniti QX4 SUV. All real wood grain, Sunroof, Tan leather heated seats. Sitting on custom 20's .. Its a 99 but is still worth 15,000 in the Kelly Blue Book. I hope the deal goes threw.
I'd definatly recommend a Nissan product because almost everyone I know has had good experience with them.

A Lexus is a Toyota.. And a Infiniti is a Nissan. Acura is a Honda etc. Shows how much you know. BTW Volkswagons are one of the best built cars and they are German. There specifications are so strict that they don't even use gaskets because every piece on the car has no play whatsoever.

Leases suck. I am a fiend I have to do shit to every car I get. Have the windows tinted. Engine work. Custom interiors etc. I don't think u can modify the car from stock if its on a lease. NIK have u ever looked into going to an auction? I have seen brand new Escalades go for 15Gs in a repo auction.

Oh shit I forgot to say. You might have to know a dealer to get into an auction LOL. Some are open to public. You would have to to a big auto auction place. Or a impound.

Auctions are your best bets for awesome deals on cars, just find a dealer and he is sure to have a license to get you into the auction. Some of the prices cars go for in auctions is crazy, ive been there

mercedez, bmw's, lexus all in the 20,000 range and with very low mileage.

The bad side is that you need to have your stuff ready(money, loan or whatever) and you may not get the car you picked out. Cars are also sold as is so you better know a little something about cars

but auctions are your best bets for cheap prices and quality cars
