Title: 213-The_Hard_Way-RETAIL-2004-MAD
Post by: Rudki on August 04, 2004, 05:39:56 AM
its ripppped......

I've only skippd through it, why the fuck did they take off DOLLA DOLLA BILL  :'(

Also they've taken off Butch Cassidy off "FIND A WAY" for some reason......if you spot any other
differences in tracks from the advance list em'

p.s....."213 the gangst cliq" bump this beat loud and prepare to get your ears fucked up ;D

I dunno for sure but I'd guess that they took ''Dolla Dolla Bill'' because when they announced it as the original first single off the album the response wasn't that great, and probably wasn't what the group had hoped for. I still don't understand why they dropped it though: just because it might not make a good single doesn't mean its not a good song. I personally thought that ''Dolla Dolla Bill'' was one of the better, if not the best, song off the advance. Annoyed that they took Butch off the beginning of ''Find A Way'' too - he was perfect for that track.

Ah well, I'm not gonna bother downloading but am just going to wait until the album is released. I've already heard the majority of the cuts on there anyway...

I dont think any of these songs have been released yet...However, Im starting to wish I never listened to any of the tracks that leaked.  I think its going to take away the initial suprise of how good this album actually is.

"mary jane" and "never love a hoe" leaked. minus "intro" and "rick james interlude", so thats 5 new songs for ya.

For the people who haven't heard this yet, "Sassy Ways" on the 213 album isn't the same "Sassy Ways" on Warren's album. It's a different song that's called "Keep It Gangsta".

After listening to this album a few times, I have to say that I'm feeling it. It's a pretty good album. I would of preferred some Warren G production on there but overall, it's a decent album.

Lol at the rick james skit, "Snoop Dogg, It's Rick James Bitch! How The Fuck You Gonna Do Mary Jane Without Me? Shit, Fuck Weed, Cocaine is a Hell uva Drug Nigga. BITCH!"

ya, i know, that is why i do it........i mean, without doing that i wouldnt have heard some of the tightest songs ever over the last 4-5 years ive been on the internet.........

still, it takes away from that feeling you used to get when you heard an entire new album that was actually dope (which i think this 213 album is)

Nah, "Never Love a Hoe" is not the same as the one from the bootleg.  I think this one is supposed to be called "My Dirty Hoe". I think the songs are straight from the retail but some of the track names are not right.

Sassy Ways = Keep It Gangsta
Wait a Minute = Lonely Girl
Give It Up = Run on Up
Never Love a Hoe = My Dirty Ho

I thought that you were saying that there was a song in the album called "Keep it gangsta" that is some kind of "Sassy ways" remix. That's why I said I hoped it was a joke or something. Sorry.

BTW, anyone knows if it's coming out Aug 17th only in the States or worldwide?

Jome, noone would expect you to feel the album man, just like you wouldnt expect me to like jada or lloyd banks, difference is i took the time to really try to get into the albums and they were merely average (barely)....

i would take this 213 over young buck, lloyd banks album, even the new mobb deep (although win or lose !!! is tight)

the 213 album is tight, some really dope songs, one of the best westcoast releases in years

Yeah, that's because you like softer music.. you'd take Mase over these albums as well.. and I didn't even feel the Jada album.
This 213 album is way too soft, it's more r'n'b than hiphop, it's all slow beats and soft themes..
If it wasn't for Nate Dogg, I wouldn't even consider buying it, but I haven't decided yet..

I aint really like softer music, its just that some time i want some music that makes me feel good.

and 213 aint all slow beats, there are a couple of "bangers" on there    i admit the album could be better, but fact is it is a pretty good album, my expectations at times have been low but 213 did not disappoint as much as others that have dropped lately

AlerG:

Eastside Lb is now called MLK, and Real in the Field was never meant to be on the album, it was an Eastsidaz ft warren g song, notice how Snoop and Nate werent even on it???  Definitely was a tight song though

ya, So Fly is over the Monica beat, but i never once listened to the monica song, so to me the So Fly joint is just too damn tight, i've loved it from the first day i heard it, and i am glad it is on the album.  Woulda been a dope first single if Monica hadnt already used the beat

listen to the whole album while driving to Abby (just over an hour there and back)....not my type of beats or music i guess.

Maybe if Warren produced some tracks i'd like it. There's some tight tracks on there (4 I believe)...but after that its..eh.

that's my2 cents Canadian

album is ok for todays standards, but that isn't really positive.  I listened to it once all the way through in my car, and gotta say I have no desire to really wanna listen to it again.  Not that its bad, but nothing stands out.  Not a single beat stands out, not a single verse, not even any of nate's singing.  its as average as you can get.  No song I wanna put on repeat.  but also its not bad.  I could stand listening to it.  Its not like listening to lil jon.  I'm not dissapointed, because I had very low expectations.  Calling this the best westcoast album in years is ridiculous.

After one listen, front to back, it sounds pretty average to me.  It sounds like they just went through the motions, not saying it's bad just that they really didn't try to make anything special.

But again that's only after one listen, I'll bump it a few more times and see how I feel.

after listening to it, it's a decent listen, don't really have the want to pump it over and over though...the beat to the intro is sick which makes me wonder wtf were they thinking when they didn't let warren g produce...he should've handled all or most of the production if they wanted to really keep it 213...it would have been alot better that way anyway...don't get me wrong the album is an ok listen, i like it better than jadakiss and lloyd banks which i couldn't stand so that tells you something, peace.

I thought it was a lot stronger than the weak shit we've been getting lately, would make the top 10 of the year but not the top 3. It has no guests, th eproduction is a little weak at times but mostly its not too bad. Warren comes off quite well, nate's great as usual and snoop raps surprisingly little. I just finished listening it from front to back in one sitting and I'd give it an 85%

One question 4 all y'all who've heard the retail.

Which version of "Gotta find a way" is on the album? The one that starts with Nate singing "Jump in my ride..." or the much doper version which kicks off with Nate singing "Funny how time flies..." ?

The first one isn't Nate, it's Butch Cassidy, and the one without Butch is set to be on the album...

Im talking about the original version that starts with Snoop going "...in conjunction with Doggystyle Records & 213"...That version doesn't have a break for the chorus...It sounds better.

I wasn't talking about the Butch version cause it had already been said that that version was not on the album. Before the Butch track, came out a version of the song with Nate doing the same verse.

Amazon.co.uk has a release date of aug 23.
Play.com (UK) has a release date of aug 16.
Amazon.de has a release date of aug 16.
Fnac.com (France) has a release date of aug 17.

So it seems it will come out in a couple of weeks, just like in the States. Maybe even earlier.
