Post by: white Boy on August 26, 2004, 04:33:37 PM
when people say "free blah blah blah", like wtf.. lets take "free yayo", wtf does that mean, why should we free a criminal... he did the crime, now he should do the time... why would anyone support the release of a criminal before his time is served... i just dont get this shit, anyone care to explain.

1. they want to hear good music of this particular artist again.
2. if your dad was in jail (and let's assume you like your dad), wouldnt you rather have him free? of course one doesnt have such a relationship with a rapper one havent even met, but you get the idea.
3. they'd like to be gangsta themselves and admire the crimes these ppl do.

I feel you though, it kinda sucks.

It's a shortcoming of the human race, and it's based off of the optimism within us.  It may be misplaced, or even perverted, but the reason we feel this way is deep down, we admire the person for whatever reason, and the optimist in us makes us think that the person is better than the situation they are in, and that they just need another chance.

^ Don't be so naieve.  You don't know what you'd do if your dad killed somebody, that's a Traumatic situation, and you can't possibly predict how you would act in a Traumatic situation.

True that..
But I agree with what your saying, and also what 7even was saying..people did the crime and they deserve it but at the same time if u admire that person for whatever reason then you want them to have another chance..exactly
