Title: A Computer Question
Post by: Ras Kass' Toothpick on September 29, 2004, 12:34:53 PM
Here's the problem, I have ten infected files on my computer.  I found them by using the virus scan at trendmicro.com and it says they aren't cleanable and I can't delete them because they are in use.  I tried deleting them Windows Explorer but that didn't work either.  The virus scan that my computer has doesn't pick them up or cleans them.

Any ideas on how to get rid of them?

One thing I've noticed on my computer is that on the webapages that I'm viewing there are different words highlighted and linked to NTSearch.com.  And other unusually things are happending when surfing with Microsoft Explorer too.

I only really have basic computer knowledge so I don't know how to deal with this.

That worked for most of them but there are a couple I couldn't find.
Any idea what a .CPY file is?

What's a good one to use and where do you get it?  I tried getting Avg Free Edition but I don't wanna pay for it.

Thanks
