yousendit doesnt work anymore, give this a chance - it DOES work.. just install step by step
1. the programm you'll need is: http://www.ahuntjens.nl/uploader/uploads/gmailfs.zip
2. run setup
3. download and run: http://home.graffiti.net/dpg4life/gdrive.reg
4. restart your PC
to download:
1. a new drive is to appear under "My Computer", called "Gmail Drive"
2. copy files from that dir to your computer
3. use WINRAR to extract the file
upload: if youre uploading an album: split the files into 10MB pieces with winrar!
always rar the files!
if you doesnt know how to - dont upload - uploading wrong will kill the acc

its just downloading from a gmail-acc - the .reg contains the login-data - take look into it
do you guys wanna keep using yousendit or what?... :(

ye.. that prog's a good idea but if too many people use it the g-mail accound will get full of shiit..

just use my acc, upload it there - ill take care of the administration - so a file will be hosted for a week lets say
after that ill delete it - so it wont get "full of shit" ;D
the acc is only for new hot stuff, stuff that also appear right now on those yousendit-bullshit
i think if you guys follow my instructions step by step its easy to install and configure
and once it works... :o

oh, okay > so the reg info is an account youv'e set up.
i don't really get hos this g-drive thing works. i put an mp3 on there and it deffinatly uploaded somewhere but i can't see where i can link it for y'all???
could u explain what you can do one we upload files to YOUR g-drive???

^i really don't think it's gonna work unless peopls have a g-mail account.

just rar it before, and rename it that the extension is .r00
maybe .mp3 and .rar is blocked
and i doesnt want google to close down that acc

i tested it at a friend of mine today
its working great!
only thing i forgot was: restart your computer after installing
once its installed it works great...
arent you tired of uploading to yousendit?
i saw a few topics lately, where not even one person replied that he got the files, b/c they were already down....

this is ONE gmail acc we share...
we all share the same gmail acc
a file that someone uploads will appear in everyones gmail-acc, when using my .reg
then you have to download...

thx. thats a great idea. but how secure is this? it obviously isnt an official google/gmail application. i mean...how safe is it?

if the account is dead we can be sure they noticed the traffic...
gmail = 1GB per acc
IF we'd trade movies over that acc someone might notice it....
but since its that small, there will be no problem...
yousendit or whatever isnt also supposed to be for sharing mp3s...!
so dont worry

no what i meant is that obviously this program wasnt developed by google. so how secure (internet security) is it? some1 could have access to my pc coz i have this installed on my pc.

if you have an up to date virus scanner the programm should be detected if it was a trojan horse! ::)
