Title: Immortal Technique, MosDef, Eminem&Green Lantern-Bin Laden (Conservatives Beware
Post by: 7even on October 18, 2004, 05:40:41 AM
This is a song from the upcomig Democratic Mixtape hosted by Eminem & Green Lantern.

http://www.d12world.com/audio/bin_laden-prod_by_dj_green_lantern_(sirius_bizness)_(djgreenlantern.com_rapbasement.com).mp3

dope song, I love Immortal Technique and the whole idea behind it.

if you dont like it for various reasons you can eat a dick. claiming artists shouldnt get political and loving dead prez doesnt work, claiming they jump on the bandwagon when they did years ago already doesnt work either. so shut up. the mixtape is free noone makes extra profit off it.

Oh yea and Immortal Technique kills those assholes who used to say the Iraqi people are bitches fighting for Saddam and killing 1000 soldiers although the US is "liberating" (this word in this context always gives me a laugh) them:

they say the rebels still fight for Saddam, but that's bullshit
I show you why it's totally wrong:
cause if another country invaded the hoods at night
it'd be warfare
I wouldnt be fighting for Bush or White America's Dream
I be fighting for my people, survival and self-esteem
I wouldnt fight for racist churches in the south
I be fighting to keep the occupation out
Imagine if they shot at you and raping your moms

I like how you stereotype all conservatives as supporters of the Iraq war.

I'll check the track out.

I'll check the track out.

Lemme tell ya why I added that sassy remark.

Let's be like this:
a) You are a conservative
b) You dont support the Iraq War
still,
c) You dont like Anti-Bush Tracks by musicians.

so I dont contradict myself a little bit.

I havent implied that Conservatives always support the war in Iraq, but I can say quite confidently that most if not all conservatives on this board wont dig the lyrics of this song for various reasons.

It's not that I don't like Anti-Bush tracks specifically, I just really don't like partisan politics in music. How can you make a classic partisan song? The subject matter of it is dead months after.

Ironically the consensus of that was agreed upon by myself (a conservative), and 2 friends (a liberal and a hardcore socialist.)

I hope that Technique realizes that if any country were strong enough to invade and conquer the US, they would completely destroy the ghettos in a matter of days. The US over there are fighting military trained militias and suicide bombers, not just common thugs. I'd like to see a black guy in the hood strap a bomb to himself and run into a tank. It's not gonna happen. The militias that are oposing the US invasion are most likely connected to Saddam or some other rich Iraqi that would greatly suffer from thje US taking over. I don't know why the average person would care. It's not like the US is forcing them to become Christians, then I'd understand.

If France or Russia wanted to take over here, I wouldn't waste my time fighting. I'd be in the working class no matter who's in charge.

I never said I was offended by the track or video. Both are lame, but that's because Eminem's antics are tired and boring. He's 32, acting like a 12 year old. Drop the dick faggot.

I don't like the track, sounds like an Eminem Beat. Immortal Technique's lyrics are alright, but sounds a little to much like all of the shit on Revolutionary vol.2 PLus, the beat doesnt match his song.

It's difficult taking Tech seriously after witnessing him make an ass of himself acting like a thug on the internet while fighting with people on message boards.

Why? Because I won't risk my life fighting for nothing, I'm a pansy? You know if Napoleon won his world conquest, we'd probably be a good 50 to 100 years ahead of where we are now, and here's no way we'd be worse off. I'm not French, but I know I guy ahead of his time, when compared to the other world leaders of the time. If your lower middle to lower class, you won't be affected by a takeover, unless they're trying to impose religion on you, I see no problem.

When did this happen? and where?

He posted on the ughh.com and hiphopinfinity.com message boards (and probably some others that I'm not aware of).  HHI is gone now and ughh.com doesn't have a good archive so I doubt you can find any of his posts.
He posts under techniqueimmortal.
He was getting clowned and was saying dumb shit like "you come up to Harlem and I'll beat you up...blah, blah, blah" and arguing with people.  His producer Southpaw still posts sometimes at ughh.com.

"Conservatives Beware" LOL please.  "Conservatives don't give a shit".  If you think i'd waste the 15 seconds my roadrunner connection would take to download the track, and then waste the energy to turn my speakers up and hit 'play', you're crazy.  Just another song preaching to the choir.  At least when Rush Limbaugh spouts his shit, republicans AND democrats are listening.... this song will never be heard by anyone any more conservative than your average hiphop head in the first place, so what is there to beware?  If you haven't noticed, I don't even argue the specifics anymore, it isn't worth either one of our time, we just disagree with each other.

I can't believe people always trip out on rappers on the net. OK, news flash, most rappers are from the streets. Doesn't mean they gang bang, but it doesn mean they are not use to the internet world. I remember when i first started checking out the net, I'd get so mad at people dissing me on boards, I would seriously start to shake 'cause I wanted to beat him up. It took me about a year to realize, I am never meeting these people. For a rapper, I can imagion how it's like going from straight raw and streets, to the internet world checking out your fans. I mean, all of us like to feel our words are being heard, and when a rapper puts out music, they like to see what the fans say. Kind of like justifying themselves. Then when an artist like Immortal Technique sees people actually dissing his work, he would get mad, because it's his hardwork, and his not use to hearing people diss his shit because most people like him if for no other reason than the SGV reason, his underground. Personally, I think his the best rapper alive, fuck it, no one other than Rakim is on his level, though Rakim is only on his level because he feel off and got knocked down to Technique's level. I have yet to hear Talib Kweli's album, but if it's as good as his first 2, then his up there too. Anyways, people on the net say things that if you are where I'm from, that'd get your ass beat. I used to read it, and I was like, oh I gotta kick that kids ass, he doesn't know shit, because my first reaction to the comment was to beat that fool down. Same with a Technique, a Game, or any rapper really. They come because they hear people are loving their music, then it's hard to take the ones that don't. Look at how much gangbanging Daz does, and everyother artist on the net. Come on, why does Yuk have to bang on the net, his already a westcoast legend. But that's all they know, I remember, I remember Rod had the samething going, that's why I went to him to start the Elite, 'cause real knows real when they see it. I saw it from the I.E., and all these rappers are the same.

just saying... it takes alittle long adjusting to different environments. If tomorrow, they put you on the streets, and you actually had to interact with people, it would not be to your favor. You might catch a beatdown, 'cause you wouldn't know how to handle it. I meet people that knew people at my high school, they said outside of the high school, they acted real hard, but in high school, I told them they got punked, 'cause they did. Big black dude, or Mexican dude would come up and punk the shit outta them, and they stayed silent. So it's a whole different world. I wasn't used to talking to middle class white kids. I got to college, and had the net, looked up Dr. Dre sights, and there I am talking to fans, I was happy. Add the smart asses and I was like, what the fuck, and then they tried to put up fake pictures, and be smart asses, and at first I would get so heated. Then after a while, I was like, so the fuck what, they'll never meet me. So I calmed down the street talk, I went about my business. But adjusting to a different type of people is not exactly easy.

One hilarious thing:

When Jadakiss said "Bush knocked them towers" on "Why", everybody went "Lmao, Kiss is a moron" "What an asshole, trying to get some controversy" "I didn't know Jada was this dumb",  etc. etc.

Then Mos & Immortal samples the same line, and half of the same people be like " :o Whoa, this shit is real" "Ohh revolutionary", etc..

Kinda funny..  :D

Jome Jadakiss has a different crowd than Mos and Immortal Fans, alot can be the same but theres a good amount thats different. just judging by the music difference between immortal and Jada you can see why some people think Jada was a moron and the one who EVEN KNO who immortal is think its revolutionary. im sure those same people thought what Jada said was ill. i kno i was happy he said it. i mean i dunno its jus a difference in the fans.

I heard Why and went to go buy the Kiss of Death. I love it, and his little political shit his doing on MTV, I think Jada is maturing as a man, he stated so himself, and he wants to get involved. Immortal Technique is on some revolutionary shit, Hip-Hop needs to go back to this, the days of Public Enemy and 2Pac, the days when songs meet something other than booty shaking. Booty Shaking is good, but hip-hop needs more.
