I'm watching CNN right now, he's got over 10% lead. But so far Bush is over 10% overall in a quarter of the votes counted.

Texas? Bush, hands down.

It comes down to: Ohio, Florida & Pennsylvania

Further Swingy: New Mex, Wisconsin

the New York Area and Cali is Kerry hands down.

Florida prolly goes to Bush, Pennsylvania to Kerry

It all comes down to Ohio, like I said 2 weeks ago lol.

I think the high voter turnouts were concentrated in the big states like Cali & New York. So it doesn't help the situation in southern states.

lets take a common sense look at your post

you said all you heard was people complaining about Bush...thos are kerry supporters

bush supporters have nothing to complain about because he's in office

so it just happens there was less complainers than you thought there were

kerry and the complainers lose

people will complain more

There IS no draft.  Bush has said there will never, ever, be a draft with him in office.  Recruitment offices meet their full, allowable by LAW, limits each and every year, with no problems.  ... if we needed more troops, they would just raise the inflow rates, and let more people join, instead of turning them away, as they do now.  Get educated, you spit out shit that doesn't make any sense.

^ those numbers arent final!!!

Ohio, New Mexico, and Iowa  ** havent  ** reported their final results.

in all cases its very very close, with bush having a minor edge.

in Iowa and NM its a matter of just 20k votes

^ those numbers arent final!!!

i know they still have to count all the absentee ballots and all that other crap but what's the chance that there's about 150,000 of them and they all voted for kerry?
Title: Re: Election watching
Post by: Trauma-san on November 03, 2004, 07:03:34 AM
^^ Usually when they announce a state, it's virtually impossible for the other party to win.

There's 250,000 provisional ballots in Ohio that need to be analyzed, one by one, to make sure they were correct.  If you went to the polls, and you were in the wrong precint, they didn't think you could vote, or whatever... they let you cast a provisional ballot, which they'll analyze by hand afterwards, to see if it's valid.

Since this is the final state, out of respect for the voters of the state, they'll hold off on declaring a definitive victor until they have a better idea of the provisional ballots.

The problem with Kerry winning Ohio is, he'd have to win 195,000 of the 250,000 provisional ballots to win, and that's just not going to happen in a State where Bush won 52 or so percent of the popular vote.
