Title: What happened to Big D.S. from Onyx?
Post by: Elevz on December 17, 2004, 03:06:58 AM: Big D.S. was one of the four members of Onyx back when they released Bacdafucup in 1993. Him and Sonsee Seeza (then known as Suave) were in jail for some time during the recording of that LP, that's why Big D.S. only appears on a few tracks on the album. Before Onyx released their second LP, named "All we got iz us" in 1995, Big D.S. had already left the group. It seems to be like hardly anyone knows what's the exact reasons of him leaving - he might have gone back to jail or maybe he got in a fight with the other members of the group. Anyway, that was the last thing we heard from him, and then in 2003 on the inside of the cover of the Onyx cd Triggernometry, they suddenly drop his name again: "R.I.P. BIG D.S."

Does anyone on these boards know what the fuck happened to DS?

And well... You're saying "All we got iz us" is Onyx's best LP? Might be, but I think Bacdafucup is of a similar level (more poppy though). It depends on what mood I'm in, but mostly I'll prefer listening to Bacdafucup rather than All we got iz us.

The only question remaining is... Why did DS leave Onyx in the first place, and what did he do after Onyx? Jailtime sounds very likely.
