Title: Who Picked Up "Informal Introduction"?
Post by: mrtonguetwista on September 10, 2002, 09:59:23 AM
I just picked up the album this morning at BestBuy and I must say it's banging.  Not one dead track on the whole album IMO. Even liked the intro.  So do yourself a favor and go and cop this album and don't sleep on it. Peace. ;D

So it did come out then....coo
Cause I was gettin' fuckin' tired of this push back shitt....last week I went to cop the "Nas" lost tapes...lol (original date)
And this week I went to copp my "Sheist" and they didn't have any....they must have sold em' out or haven't put them out yet. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!

Only cd Of note I saw homie was
"Run-Dmc" greatest hits....(I guess they released an all new set) is was $7.99.

That's all I noticed cause I was 2 fucken Heated...lol
Yo I hate going to the fucken music store and coming home empty handed....so I chilled in the hip-hop section for like a half hour looking for something to buy, and couldn't find shit... :o
I couldn't belive it....I was like stopped by the wackness out right now.
I settled on "Cypress Hill's Stash"...a tight lil' compilation of previously released remixed shit. (The only Cypress hill cd i never had.....but I was hessitant to copp this cause the "Nas" remixe cd came censored, but I copped it anyway's and sure enough it was also censored...except for the last song "Throw yo set in the air" that had the wordz we need to survive...lol

Peace

Yeah I got it too! It's hot but I have 1 MAJOR complaint.

I can't understand why Anybody would have DJ Clue on their album just yelling shit over a song....

I sampled the album at the store and I thought the beats were tight as hell, but shade needs a work on his skills lyrically.  The album is good but it sound's like he's whispering on every track.

Mane,

Some beatz are bangin but his flow is just shit.  Whisperin and shit over the beat.  Put some emotion into this like you care or sumthin.
Title: Shade Sheist: Lyrically.

I agree that sonically some of the songs need a vocal level adjustment, but on the subject of lyrics- yall are tripping! You must not be catching all of the shit I am hearing, he hides a lot of messages behind his words. He said himself that his album wouldn't be for "lazy-listeners who only preview a track on the surface." This album is definitely on some other sh*t. Next Generation West Coast Sound indeed. And for continual non-believers, you should check out the underground joints he releases exclusively to the streets every two weeks- he is on the verge of a "not-to-be-fu*ked-with" status. Remember my words, yall.

Um..obviously DJ Clue did the production for that track.  And the CD is kinda ehhh.  I mean Nate Dogg is dope and so is the production--but Shade Sheist himself is a snooze.
