damn, i bought the album yesterday and i think its a really good album. The song "the strong will eat the weak" is fucking amazing, aswell as the one with e white and rbx.
im feeling the song with prodigy also, and "light that shit up" is also a hot song. "not like it was" is banging IMO, aswell as "dont fight the feeling", "hey you", "dogghouse america", Im even feelin the intro.
Maybe other people disagree, but I think this album is dope! and IMO ^^thats enough good songs to make a strong album^^

Me either. I think people need to listen to it over because tha beats are fresh as fuck, and Snoop sounds a lot better than usual. People will always complain, but if you ain't feeling this you probably ain't into west coast rap anymore.

Man I don't even like Dre, and as for Snoop, I'm not even a big fan. This is tha best I've heard from Snoop & I just don't see why people trash it. I'd rather listen to DJ Quik, Daz, Suga Free, Soopafly or Warren-G over this comp. I just think it deserves more props.

I like it, and I don't think he's doing the same thing for the past 10 years... I think lyrically, he's changed a lot, and some stuff just doesn't get old, in my opinion. It's not a perfect cd, but I think it's even more growth since his last album. Peace~

This compilation is tight in my opinion,it's disappointed in a few tracks (the song with special ed and prodigy and fallen star).
It could be better with more solo tracks from the doggystyle all stars,at least 1 solo track from e-white.
However,this is a good move to promote a label!

It only has a pair of good tracks IMO. Average globally. You all are acting like this is a new classic. But it obviously aint. Just compare it with Death Row's Greatest Hits. That's a classic compila. That's something HOT! This compila is far from the level they reached back in the days. And Kokane is wack! Snoop needs to go back to the roots: Daz, Nate, Soopafly, Tray Deee, RBX, Rage. They can save him, not viceversa.

I haven't posted in awhile , but all these posts are pissing me off. The new cd is pretty dope, if you like the Bones Soundtrack and Tha Last Meal then you will like this. But if you didn't like them then you will hate this. And the 70's thing isn't that much of the album, maybe like 4 songs. So please keep your opions to yourself. this cd is cool not AMAZING but cool I like everysong on it and what I like about this cd is that its different from the other DoggHouse release...Also for the 70's fever I think that its the whole concept...I think Snoop got influenced by The P-Funk all stars...thats why the cd cover iz fucked up , the first single-video is fucked up and there is ol skool track like the track number 3(dont remember the name.And for LaToiya Williams I think she's tight and Im feelin the song "it feelz good", the girl can sing I also think that Snoopy should release her album first because she can blow up ,an album with production by Jazzy Jeff, Mike city and The Neptunes...what people dont understand is that she bring sumthin new to the table by bringing back that soul shit...and for those who dont digg her style yet ...just listen to some Erykah Badu, Jill Scott or other soul shit..its the same thing.
anyway I'll give this album 8.6/10

Snoop should slow down; concentrate on writing some good songs, and not just shoot out half ass tracks with him moaning like Bootsy Collins on most of the time.
He needs to step it up and reinvent himself cause it is getting old. It was fresh when we first heard "Tha Eastsidaz" cause he brought in Battlecat and Meech after all that No Limit shit. Though now, it's playing out.

I was pleasently suprised by this cd. The only song I listened to prior to buying it was "Doh Doh", and for some reason they changed it on he cd. Overall, tha album was MUCH better than Tha Last Meal, but there are some flaws. The first flaw is there are way too many producers on this album. There are 20 tracks, and correct me if I'm wrong, but there are 7-8 producers on this album. If I was to showcase my label like I believe Snoop was trying to do, I would have strictly done it in-house production. Also, hopefully Soopafly proved Snoop TO RELEASE HIS FUCKIN ALBUM ALREADY! "Bitches Treat" was one of my faves of the album, and he deserves an album WAAAAAAAAAAAY before Latoya Williams. Talking about Latoya Williams, I don't think she can hold an entire album. Her 2 solo tracks were one of the low points of this album. E-white isn't anything special. His delivery doesn't stand out, and just wasn't all that he was hyped up to be, although "Doin it Bigg" was the tightest song on te album IMO. I liked the beat to "Nite Locs", however Snoop should only allow the Kokane who made "Funk upon a rhyme" to grace the mics and ban the Kokane that's a 5th rate George Clinton wannabe from the studio.
overall, production up and down, as are some of the lyrics. 6/10
