Title: Xzbit man vs machine tracklist
Post by: BAD_SCE on August 03, 2002, 03:34:56 AM
has this been posted if it has not here it is

Xzibits new album titled Man vs Machine is droppin September 17, but Xzibit is already hyping his next project. X revealed that The Coast Is Clear, the debut album from the Golden State Project will be released in February on his own label Open Bar.

"We 'bout to hit 'em hard," Xzibit said of his side project. "We've been talkin' 'bout it, talkin' 'bout it since my first record. And now, you know, Open Bar Entertainment is a reality. It's my label. We're on Columbia Records, and it's a whole new push.

The reason for the delays was Xzibit's new solo album, which has been more than a year and a half in the making.

I've been training for this album like I've been getting ready to fight Lennox Lewis or something. I went back in the studio as soon as I got off the road last spring. And I really had a vision for this album. I think I've overcome a lot, and I feel like Man vs. Machine was a fitting title to personify that struggle. It's me staying true to the basic fact that I love the music first and I love the fans and I get my success when I'm out in front of the crowd. Whether there's 30,000 of y'all or five of y'all, I don't care. I got the mic and I'm rippin', and y'all are goin' off and screaming right back at me. That's real." Xzibit explained.

The first single is the Dre-produced Multiply and features additional vocals from Nate Dogg, who showed up, along with Dre and Busta Rhymes, when Xzibit filmed the video for the track earlier this month in Los Angeles.Chris Robinson directed the clip, which follows a caravan of vehicles through the desert to Las Vegas, where X's next video will pick up. Xzibit is seen in each of the rides, which include his own Cadillac Escalade and a tour bus fitted with a stripper pole.

X will head overseas for a short European trek after the Anger Management Tour ends September 8.

Here is the tracklisting to Man vs. Machine, along with the possible album cover, and a snippet preview for the song Symphony in X Major

For some reason, I'm not anywhere near as hyped for this album as I was for "Restless."  The only albums I was more hyped for ever were "2001" and The MMLP.

I dunno why, but this is just like another album fro mthe West.  I only heard "Multiply: once, and compared to "X" when I first heard it, it blows "Multiply" out the water.

You need to hear "Multiply" more, to let it grow on you.
I thought it was average at first, but the beat/chorus & lyrics makes it doper everytime I hear it.

And since you're not that hyped I figure that you haven't heard "Losin your mind" ft. Snoop Dogg yet, that shit is  :o
I'm more hyped for this than "Restless", and BEST believe I was hyped for that one.

Thats just cause you love xzibit so much, everyone else thinks the songs are just average. Nothin to be that hyped up about. I might buy this cd. the song gambler is the only track ive heard that I really like. The other two on the sampler are dope but im lookin for more than just a dope album.

Dope tracklisting  ;D
There's not that many guest appearances on the cd(compared to restless). Thats dope, more of xzibit.  But the guest Appearances are dope anyway. Ras Kass, Saffir, Dre, Snoop, Eminem, Nate Dogg & MOP.
But theres no king t or tha liks, That sucks.

As far as I can remember, 85% said that they thought those 2 tracks were dope.
And you aren't looking for a dope album?
You only buy old classics?

Loose your mind was cool. Multiply was boaring. And i dont even care a tiny bit what other people think. If i listened to 85% of what people thought was good music Id be bumpin Nelly and Ja Rule. Dont get me wrong I love dope albums(and old classics are dope albums too arent they?) but dope albums come out all the time, Xzibit has alot of talent but he seems to throw it away and he could make more than dope albums. Restless was dope. I want something more than dope from Xzibit. And if you're wondering whats above dope for me its an album that made me go wow. Restless made me knod my head but beats dont make classics.

yea, Restless was dope, but some of the beats were boo-boo, and some of the guests were misplaced.
Quik, Soopa & Battlecat didn't make good contributions to the album.
I'll bet you £100 that this album will be better.

I know itll be better just not classic. And whats wrong with the Quik track. That song was one of the only ones that acctully had a concept to it. Most of the others were Xzibit rapping about basicly nothing.

yea, it had a concept, but does that have to be a good thing?
I think it was boring.

Well you aint I Quik and Suga Free fan then, Ive heard better from them but when I put this cd on this is the track I usally skip too. And yes a concept is a very good thing. Makes you pay attention to the lyrics more. I find songs that are about nothing way more boaring.

Lemme correct myself: Does a concept song REALLY have to be a good thing?
I mean.. I have heard tracks about bitches and bling-bling that's doper than some concept songs.
It all comes down to the outcome.
If it sounds good, then it's a good thing, but if it's a skipper, you really can't say that it's a good thing.

aight, possible & likely scenarios:

1. A artist, say Ras Kass releases a song about human evolution.
The lyrics are just like listening to a 78 year old professor, and the beat is.. well let's just say BORING and the song is a def. skipper because you almost fall asleep when you hear it.

2. A artist, say Dr.Dre, Xzibit or Snoop Dogg releases their socalled "radio-single" to sell the album, e.g. "Still D.R.E.", "X" or "Snoop Dogg part 2"
The beat is dope on all the 3 singles, but the lyrics doesn't say anything new, even if they all come dope.

This is the example where a concept-song doesn't necessarily is as dope as a "regular" joint.

Stick to listening to bullshit bling bling Jome, cuz I can listen to nature of the threat over and over and not get board. What youve just proved to me is that you like hit singles more than meaningfull songs. Xzibit shows absolutly no lyrical ability on 3 quarters of his new songs. And im sure you like them cuz they have a dope beat. No wonder you liked restless. Ignorent.

I don't call it "real tracks", when the lyrics reminds me of my biology teacher, and the beat sounds like sumthin I could make banging a pencil towards a desk.

The ultimate would be meaningful lyrics over a dope beat, or at least a beat that doesn't make you fall asleep.

I dont know what song your refering to(i have a good idea though) but for me songs that are meaningless make me fall asleep. Lyrics that are saying somethin keeps me paying attention. When I listen to nature of the threat i just think how amazing it is. And i find it interesting. Its still rap, its still a beat, hes not talkin about biology and hes sayin some real shit, I wouldnt listen to it that much becuz yeah it would get boaring. I like dope beats, i like tracks that make my head knod but i also like something with some meaning to it. this all started when you said Sorry im away so much was boaring. Well its a good(not great) beat from Quik and its saying something. And there are dope beats with good lyrics. But whatever, the more i talk about songs the less ill like em. Its just music, what you like is what you like, just dont bump nelly cause the beat is catchy.

well, actually I refered to "Fuckin you right", which is produced by Quik, I guess I wasn't making myself clear enough.

You guys are acting like concept and Beats are the only two things that are important in a Hip Hop track...you guys are forgeting about Flow, Lyrical Structure, Punchlines etc...Jome is right; some raw type of battle tracks without a concept can be better than some boring and off flow concept songs sometimes...We all have different tastes, let's just leave it at that...

Fuckin you right was prod. by soopafly and yeah haha i skip that song usally too. Now_I_Know, your right but I refuse to listen to any song with no flow, That matters to me more than beats and concepts all together. But keep in mind there are concept songs with flow and dope beats. And im not gonna keep this argument goin cuz the more I talk about a song or rapper the less i like them. Music is music, just enjoy it for what it is.

What's track #7(Paul) about?  Is that Eminem's Paul?
