^ is tops? you mean room on fire?
tops = good
room on fire = newer album, couldnt remember the title at the time
-
yea...one of the few NEW (they aint really new lol) rock n roll bands i listen too
rock is in a worse state than hip-hop is.
-
The Strokes are awesome
-
UK is future for rock
fraz ferdinand
the music
muse
to name a few ::)
-
^ not only the future, but the originals.. (beatles, led zeppelin) just to name a few
-
true :}
-
whos the music? i love franz tho, i cant wait for another album, and muse, i see them getting big, they are dope as shit, kinda like coldplay, a lil harder, the singer sounds a lot like the guy from radiohead tho...
-

i disagree. I think Rock is coming up once again. THere's plenty of new bands getting attention and the emo/whiny pop-punk is slowly losing popularity. As soon as that's out, you'll see some dope shit surfacing
-
i sadly like some emo, its a guilty pleasure, and yea rock is somewhat coming up, its taking artists too long to come out with albums,..

Yea thank god....i was watchin my little sister goin into highschool....hopin she didnt become one of those wannabe goth kids who walks around wearin those spiked wristbands an shit....but i think she's joined the killers/rooney/franz ferdinand area. Sorta the new pop-rock instead of pop-punk i guess

even the Killers sound a lil whiny to me lol...and i heard the lead singer is gay...but that doesn't matter much, i use to listen to Queen ;D

some new/relatively new bands that i like (1998 and on)
Muse
The Mars Volta
Tenacious D
Franz Ferdinand
Keane
Coldplay
Ben Folds
The Strokes
The White Stripes
Modest Mouse (I know they're older, but they're only now becoming popular)
Travis
Maroon 5
Mr. Bungle ("California" is one of my favorite albums ever)
Queens of the Stone Age
Placebo
Tha Flaming Lips
A Perfect Circle
I'm not a big fan of
- The Hives
- Deathcab
- Snow Patrol
- The Music
- The Postal Service
But STILL, these bands aren't what you'd consider Whiny Pop-Punk/Screamo. HEre's a few bands that fit this genre, which i fucking hate:
- Yellowcard
- Good Charlotte
- Simple Plan
- Taking Back Sunday
- The Used
- Thursday
- Brand New
- Sum41
- Blink 182 (most of the time)
- Bowling for Soup
- Thrice
^^^ FUCK THESE BANDS and anyone who sounds like them
Then of Course there's bands that are old but consistently make tight music:
- RHCP
- Radiohead
- NIN
- Tool
- Beck
- Dave Matthews Band
- Elliot Smith (RIP)
- Garbage
- Incubus
the list goes on...
Also, fuck Creed, Nickelback, and Staind. On top of that, fuck a whole bunch of NuMetal like Drowning Pool and Trapt
