Yea, My Dad got the greatest hits, awesome music, i only know one song though "Hotel California" lol, but good music all in all

Tequilla Sunrise is another classic song of theirs. the lead singer has a great voice.

Superb band, they have some quality songs, agree that Hotel California ain't their best song it is a good song, Lyin' Eyes & Take it Easy are superb

I typically don't get way into them, they're (and this is coming from me of all people) just so soft. Even Elton John isn't as soft as the Eagles, it's just like oatmeal music or something. I like most of their stuff, just not a huge fan. my favorite Eagles song is "Take It To The Limit"... that cool part in the hook... TAKE IT..... TTTTTOOOO tha LIMIT!.... one more .... TIIIIIIMMMMEEE"

my mother likes them and from the stuff i´ve heard i would say that they are a decent group. now i´m really the wrong person to ask about this coz i have never really sat down and listened to their music so my opinion doesn´t really hold any weight but from what i´ve heard i can´t say that i´ve been blown away.

of course not. people say never say never, but I can definately say I will never completely stop listening to rap. I pretty much have almost stopped listening to anything new that comes out, but I will always listen to old rap.

Not me.
I will admit that "Hotel California" is a masterpiece, both in sound and concept, but the message behind it is Satanic. Listen closely to the lyrics, it's no secret, and you can even play it backwards, it is calling to the way of Shatan. Although, for one who is mindful the song serves as a warning, that if you indulge in the sins of the life of this world, ultimately your excesses will consume and imprison you.
I seek refuge with Allah from Shatan the accursed, for Satan is an avowed enemy... we ask Allah to make his enemies our enemies for verily Allah will never fail in vainquishing his enemies!

Art is open to interpretation, so it's fine with me if you want to believe that this song is just about drugs, but one thing you have to question, is that if the record was only intended to be about drug use then why does the record make a call to Satan when played backwards?
Also, the only Satanic rappers I am aware of are Brother Lynch Hung and Esham, but that's just what I've heard, because I don't listen to either of those rappers.

Acknowledging Satan and working for him are two different things. There's nothing wrong with using him in art and pointing out his evils.
P.S. all rappers that glorify evil are satanic rappers. They just don't know that they are corrupted by sin. I'd rather be around people that claim Satan, than people who claim righteousness but act with evil. At least with the Satanists you know what to expect and can prepare yourself. Hypocrites are the worst people to be around. They have no integrity.
