Simply vote. Who whould you rather have in your fav team as the starting C?
Please consider their contracts, age, potential, power, etc.. everything.

depends. do i want a washed up center who can't even get 10rbs and blames everyone but himself or a 6'8" center who will outrebound a fat 7'1" center by 15rbs.

Unlike Ben, Shaq also scores a certain amount of points on a constant basis. Ben is one of my favorite players, because he's such a damn hustler. And Shaq is obviously on a irreversible decline. But, Ben is in his thirties as well..
To be honest, I wouldnt go for either one of them, because both a past their prime, and soon past their time. During their primes, Shaq was worth like 10 times as much, but those times are over. As soon as one takes into account how much the players earn, it's obvious that Ben is the better choice. If you leave that out, I'd still go with Shaq. He's still the best center in the NBA, love him or hate him.

First of all Shaq has Dwane Wade (the most dominant player in the game right now) so he don't have to score 30 per game. When playoffs time arrived he was suppose to put up big numbers but he was hurt (and he still managa to put up great numbers).
What I want to say is that Shaq isn't finish yet. Next year i will be healty (I hope) and with DWade they gonna crash the league and win it all.
Ben is a great center, the best defensive player in the game, the best rebounder, but he ain't got no offense. He won't put your starting center in foul trouble every game (like Shaq does), and he miss as much free throw as Shaq.
So Ben ain't got nothing on Shaq, he played well last year in the final and he deserve regognition but Shaq is still too strong for the others center in the L.
By the way Rasheed did a better job then Ben guarding Shaq this year.

Shaq was unstoppable a few times ago but I choose Ben coz of the energy, the shape n simply coz I like him. Don't get me wrong Shaq is still a great player( n helped us to win 3 titles 8) but c'mon he's often injured n when he's not he can't play 2 very great games in a row coz he's tired

Why do you think Kobe got 3 rings, cuz Shaq got 3 rings. DWack maybe went 0 for 6 but at least he is in the playoff. Where his Kobe I haven't seen him since april i guess. Kobe is great but without Shaq or another very dominant player he is never gonna win an another Chips.
BTW DWack gonna get one very soon, cuz Shaq gonna get one very soon.

one of the easiest polls ever. Wallace BY FAR. Problem is, these are two players at WAY different stages in their career. Shaq in his prime, i take Shaq. But, Wallace in his prime versus Shaq at the end of his career, i take Wallace. Big Ben is honestly dominant at the defensive end and on the glass. One of VERY few players ever in history to be able to dominate a game without even being a force on offense.

i first really started followin Wallace about 3 years ago. I seen him play in a game against the Lakers, and he was stickin Shaq the whole game. I remember Shaq, did one of his two moves....that little move where he fakes toward the baseline, then drives into the lane, travels, and throws up that little half hook shot thats almost impossible to block cus of his size. Wallace jumped to block the shot, after Shaq jumped. Got up faster then him, and sent the shit back to the three point line. I was like damn...it was impressive. I know its only one play, but still...the shit shocked me. Like the original post said, consider everything...age, contracts....etc.

near the end of the year lass yr, ben was bein more offensive cause they were givin him the opportunity to score more.
if detroit decidez to giv ben the ball again this yr he shud be able to abergae bout 11 or 12 pointz a game and styll hav his reboundin, blockin a bit of stealin at a good avg.
