Title: West Coast tracks you feel were ruined by someones verse
Post by: WestCoasta on September 04, 2005, 02:32:43 PM
ya know you have some tracks where it's a tight song but there is a verse on it that is wack and fucks it all up

one I can think of is:          Daz f/ B-Legit - Playa Partners

B-Legit is awful on that nice beat  :grumpy: ......... he coulda come better, fucked it up in a way

King Lou, Ruff Dogg, and Mixtmaster Spade's verses on "Dogghouse In Ya Mouth"
^^^ I edited out a ton of verses on my computer for a unique little change of that track, cuz yes, they were terrible, I also thought Kurupt and RBX's sucked too

if you want me to send you that track edited, PM me

after editing it, it only consists of Suga Free, Soopafly, King Lou, Goldie Loc, and Tray Deee

2nd II None's and Peter Gunz's verses on So Many Ways
2nd II None's verse on medley to a V
Come to think of it, every 2nd II None verse that has ruined DJ Quik's songs should be eliminated.
Doggys Angels' verses on Welcome to the House
Lil Jon's verse on Bitches Ain't Shit
Fieldy's verse on Let Me Know
Shyheim's verse on Proem
Eminem's verse on Bitch Please II

Peter Gunz on "So Many Wayz" is wack but I've rarely heard a terrible 2nd II None verse on Quik's shit, they got their own style!

Doggys Angels' verses on Welcome to the House
agreed, they're awful and that Battlecat beat is ridiculously tight!  it's a shame they were on that one  :'(

2nd II None is just pure wackness. I just don't like them at all, the flow, delivery and lyrics are just pure garbage to me. To each his own I guess. I have the classic 220 album and I heard the first album they dropped when it came out in '92. I never got into them, with the exception of Quik's excellent production, there's really no reason to check for them in my mind. Classic 220 has some great beats but the lyrics almost make the cd unlistenable.

I 100% agree with that.  Thats exactly what I was gonna say and the first thing that came to mind when I saw this topic.  Everytime I listen to this song, I think, man he really fucked up a great song.  I also think Mack 10 fucked up 'get ignit' on terrorist threats

Crucial Conflict on 'Dollaz make sense'
Down on 'Cali Ways'
Goldie Loc on 'Dogghouse in ya mouth',sorry I can't stand the way he spits there and what kind of originality does 'when i bust this bitch i put my dick in her mouth' have?? ???
Kurupt on 'Represent that G.C.'
Mac Minista on everything
Daz on 'Get ya walk on (remix)'
Xzibit on 'The Streets (remix)',the way he spits is way over the top

too many dudes hate on tony yayao and eminem here... yayo's verse wasn't even that bad on "runnin" and em had the best verse on "bitch please 2" but o well...everyone gots an opinion

eminem's verse on "B-Please II" was coo but it didnt fit the song. they shoulda let Xzibit release that on his album without Eminem & it woulda been a West Coast banger.

yayo's verse didnt even rhyme. and the way he was yellin was just nasty

"I ain't Nelly but my desert eagles on girl
Just dropped bail traveling the world
When I sign my deal I said fuck jail
I went on tour to Barcelona and Brazil
This shit real fuck an appeal
D's want my head like that bitch in Kill Bill

That's why I'm on the low like a dead navy seals"

Fieldy's verse on Let Me Know

That problem was fixed, considering when Hi-C dropped his last album, Fieldy was not on the song.

I agree with people for the most part...Yayo on "Runnin", Master P on "Lay Low"

here are some more:

Erick Sermon "U ain't fresh" (tight song, but his verse didn't really fit the song)
Kokane on Snoop's last meal album (Kokane managed to ruin an entire album single handedly)

Kurupt on 'Represent that G.C.'

I love that verse. Kurupt is just so charmingly ignorant on it it's just hilarious and just fits perfectly with the over the top gangbanging that everyone does on that song.

Here's the verse in all caps internet gangbang lingo. Come on, this is just hilarious

SNOOP FUCC DAT BITCH
DAT NIGGA DAZ FUCC DAT BITCH DAT TRICC DAT GOOFYASS BITCH
SUPAFLY SUPAHIGH RUFF CAPP SLIPP FUCCIN GANGSTA SHIT
20 INSANE 60 CRIP
19TH ST CRIP
WERE THE GANGSTAS HANG IT'S A GANG THANG
WE ALL GANG BANG

This could have been written by the numerous legions of pathetic wannabe crips from Europe that post here. This is just classic shit. Also that xxxplosive verse is just so ignorant it's just hilarious. It's almost a parody on rap music itself.

Classic is the absolute LAST word I would use in describing "Last Meal".  Kokane took the album from a 4/5 to at least a 2.75/5 (just to clarify, I was feelin him on "Hennessy and Buddah", but was not necessary on the rest)
