On May Bank Holiday monday (next week) I'm hoping to make some pretty big changes to the forum.
This will mean some downtime.
I will be doing the following...(and some more) get your voice heard now.
1) Board will be (backed up then) upgraded from YaBB 1 Gold SP1 to YaBB 1 Gold SP 1.1
2) Technique and Unsigned Hype will be merged.
3) Some other forums will be renamed or moved, but essentially remain the same.
5) Fantasy label and Key Style battle league will be removed. Since i'm not a key styler i don't know whats going on with the other key style forums. If a change is required explain why here.
6) A 'sports' forum will be added to the Social section. (oops.. theres another teaser ;) )
7) ANYONE who msgs/emails me or comes on IRC asking why the board is down during this process will gain an instant and permanent ban for idiocy *do not piss me off when i'm working*
If you have any suggestions NOW is your chance.
p.s. NO moderators will be chosen for the new sections.
Anyone who tries to petition me for a mod position will NEVER be a mod.
Mod's will be chosen at a later date of my choosing (and as people know.. thats pretty random). ohh and there *may* be something pretty controversial happening :o

'General Hip-Hop' Forum;
Or you could like murge the 'Anything Goes' section to include 'General' hip-hop topics also. You wouldn't have to rename it or anything, just display 'general hip-hop' topics in the description underneath. That way no east/south related topics would appear in here & you won't have to constantly delete & close ones that do :)

I definitely support that.. how about a General Hip-Hop Discussion board... in that way you could keep the main forum 100 % westcoast.. Overseer I basically agree with everything else, peace

The main reason why I think a 'general hip-hop' is a good idea is because even though this is first & foremost a westcoast site, which I respect, it still packs alot of the big news stories etc from all the other coasts which is an advantage I think, because not only does that mean we don't have to fish around but this site isn't as biased to one coast as say SOHH is & thats one of the main reasons I love this place, we're all open minded to hip-hop as a whole here.

i meant the non-westcoast bit.
I suspect the changes will take about 4/5 hours.
Quite a bit of that will be due to the backing up. since it takes a while to download it all.

thats cool about the changes of the board. chanegs are always cool. as for keystyle. altho i dont keystyle. just do whatever al lthe keystylers feel. maybe change the sections a little or something like what logic said

If it's like that.. I dont see why we need a West Coast Section and a General Hip Hop section. I mean, we're all Hip Hop fans... We can all respect what other's like. I know it's MEANT to be a West Coast Board and that's not gonna change just because you got alot of East Coast topics. I mean, No matter how many East Coast topics there are, It's alwayz gonna be the WEST COAST CONNECTION.. most the people that come here are West Coast fans.
I dont know... just sucks for people who like all kinds of Rap Music. Too much board traveling. It looks like you already made up your mind though.. you already got that General Hip Hop Section going.. I just really dont understand why it's necessary.

Just let me say one thing:
Please leave the 411 section alone. I have worked very hard on keeping up to date news on almost every album. Any news I see I post it there. I also keep track of the release dates.
I'm the only one who moderates there anyway, no one else helps.

WCCBL seems to have crashed and burned.... the spit forums will be changed to match logics descriptions above... it lays a bit more structure over what was previously there, since before there wasn't really.

Yeah, "The Workshop" sounds out of place...like a blacksmith's workshop, while "The Lab" has more of a hip-hop feeling to it... like a recording studio where dope tracks are made... it's the perfect name IMO, I vote for "The Lab"
