I know you meant favourite. I just wanted to make sure no one that was reading my post thought I was claiming Darkness was the best album. I didn't want to start a debate.

You've never heard of Springsteen? Where do you live and how old are you? He's one of the top 15 selling artists all time domestically.

I feel that The Beatles were the kind of band that came out with some really rocking music at first, then basically left the music world behind with Rubber Soul, and from then on just kept travelling further and more universally. Abbey Road is in my view the album they fell back to Earth with all their talents intact.

I think that's a pretty solid choice. While I put it around 15 on my list a few months back, I'd put it in the top 10 at least for my favourites.

Those are the albums that changed the way I looked at hip-hop. They were so well mixed. They made hardcore westcoast gangsta rap sound like a polished diamond. Off the hook.

lol du arschloch was is daran scheisse? als ich 14 war konnte ich das ganze album auswendig, also wirklich auswendig. ab und zu hab ich einfach nen ganzen vers gerappt, ohne grund, irgendeinen lol. was is denn daran scheisse? das isn absolutes classic mann.
wie jetzt, samy deluxe pt2, grüne brille, eigentlich, lots of signs, zornig, zap zap, bis dato, alles hammertracks. keine skits die nur nerven. keine featurerapper. einheitliche produktion.

Ähem, selber arschloch lol. Ich habe nicht gesagt, dass es scheisse ist, aber es gehört für mich nie im leben in irgendeine bestenliste ausser "das beste was mit samy deluxe zu tun hat"...samy ist in sachen overratedness up there mit den beginnern, das dynamite deluxe album ist ganz ok, aber für mich ist kaum etwas daran "classic". grüne brille war cool, aber auch nur ein lustiges stoner-lied mit gutem beat und jan-delay-gequake. vom rest hats auch ordentliche sachen, aber das in einer liste von 7 absoluten lieblingsalben....naja, to each his own

That's cool, you gave props to Bahloone Mindstate. That album is one of my all time favorite hip hop released and IMO is De La Soul's best album. It's a classic and it was criminally slept on when it dropped.

And it still is criminally slept on... That album has no serious content at all apart from some subliminals, yet its great to listen to. IMO De La at its finest. Feel good hiphop. Just bang your head and drive.
