Title: El Castillo or The Pyramid of Chichen Itza: Proof of Intelligence and Art

Check out the shade that is coming down from the steps. There is a Serpent head at the bottom which is connected to the shade to make it seem like the shape of the snake.  This only happens during the equinox, which only happens twice a year. Amazing isn't it?  This also helped the Mayans as a guide to know when is the begging and the end of a year.

Seriously man the Mayans are such an ignored race in education yet they probably were the most advanced civilization that lived before they were destroyed. I guess the Europeans were threatened by their secrets and wisdom, now we'll never know what keys to the world they held.

That was in the L.A Times today. 

"Archeologists excavating the ruined Guatemalan city of Cancuen have stumbled across the remains of what they believe is one of the pivotal events in the collapse of the Maya civilization — the desperate defense of the once-great trading center and the ritual execution of at least 45 members of its royal court."

Crazy shit.

George Carlin was saying that there was an mass suicide of over 10,000 people at once. later the royal court ate the hearts from the dead masses.
