Actually Pac lived for about 10 years in NYC. He used to be in NYC a lot. All his homies are from NYC (Stretch, Treach, etc..). He lived there with em both, in the same house. He shot videos and movies in NYC. I dont think he was just "born" in NY. He loved NYC so much than he was mad that BIG was the "king" of NY. By stealing his shit. Plus i think he was more close with Atlanta than L.A.! L.A. was just the city where he "worked". He was adopted by L.A. in his very final years, but... he was everything but a L.A. citizen. That's the truth.

if u are gonna look at it like that, then u gotta recognize pac's bay area roots... he was in a 2 man crew called "strickly dope" with santa rosa rapper ray luv. and of course everythang digital underground from the O did to put him on. for the most part his musical roots are from the bay area

Yeah, of course i agree! I was just talking about the real roots, i mean when he was born. Pac was influenced by so many cities, from New York to Atlanta to the Bay Area, from Marin City & Oakland to Los Angeles.

But musically... he's def a New York/Bay Area influenced rapper. Both.

He started to rap to make money with the name New York MC. His heroes were New York rappers. Then he worked with Ray Luv and Bay Area cats. So his style changed from a wild New York style to a Bay Area style. Then he grow up, and he made his own style.

But those are details. ;)

How is that? They are about two totally different topics. The only similar trait is the title of the song. Titles always end up being the same. So B.I.G. cloned LL Cool J's "Goin' Back To Cali" title. Pac is closer to biting Organized Confusion's "Stray Bullet" than B.I.G.'s track. Shit even Nas used the concept. You have to admit B.I.G. stole Pac's whole obsession with death image though.

Man, you aint moron for this, lol. I dont know Notorious BIG's "Me & My Bitch" track. I've heard it, but i dont remember it well. If he is talking about a gun (cause Me & My Girlfriend = Me & My Gun), then they used the same theme/concept. Actually i wrote that Pac was mad cause "HE THOUGHT" that BIG stole his music. Like "HE THOUGHT" that BIG was responsable for the NY Shooting.

Who knows the truth? Maybe it was originally a Pac song. Maybe BIG stolen it. Maybe it's the opposite. Who knows? It's stupid to start a discussion about this shit. BIG was tight lyrically, and he was influenced by Pac a lot. He was about to be signed to the group THUG LIFE. Pac was the leader, no doubt. But BIG was talented as fuck. I dunno the truth about those 2 tracks. Nobody got the answers. All we know is that 2Pac dissed BIG by saying that he totally stole his album and album theme, so he had to make another one (Me Against The World) from zero.

Well, I was too impulsive to call it a 'clone'... of course they're not of the same topic... and if you aint herd that BIG song... join the rest of the world and enjoy this masterpiece:

Artist: Notorious B.I.G. f/ Puff Daddy (uncredited)
Album:  Ready to Die
Song:   Me & My Bitch
Typed by: dj.flash@pobox.com

       [Puff Daddy]
Yo let, let, let me ask you a question yo
Yo would you kill for me?
       [Girl]
Hmmm... yeah
       [Puff Daddy]
What took you so long to answer motherfucker?
       [Girl]
I don't know
       [Puff Daddy]
The fuck wrong with you bitch?

Verse One: Notorious B.I.G.

When I met you I admit my first thoughts was to trick
You look so good huh, I suck on your daddy's dick (yeah)
I never felt that way in my life
It didn't take long before I made you my wife (uh, yeah)
Got no rings and shit, just my main squeeze
Come into the crib, even had a set a keys
During the days you helped me bag up my nickels
In the process, I admit, I tricked a little (yeah)
But you was my bitch, the one who'd never snitch (uhh)
Love me when I'm broke or when I'm filthy fuckin rich
And I admit, when the time is right, the wine is right
I treat you right, you talk slick, I beat you right

Chorus: Notorious B.I.G.

Just me and my bitch (variations repeat to next verse)

       [Girl]
But you know you love that ass, don't you?
       [Puff Daddy]
Yeah, no question
       [Girl]
No question
       [Puff Daddy]
Yo, let me ask you another question
       [Girl]
What?
       [Puff Daddy]
You ever fuck around on me?
       [Girl]
Why would I do that?
       [Puff Daddy]
Yo don't lie to me motherfucker

Verse Two: Notorious B.I.G.

Moonlight strolls with the hoes, oh no, that's not my steelo
I wanna bitch that like to play celo, and craps
Packin gats, in a Coach bag steamin dime bags
A real bitch is all I want, all I ever had (yeah, c'mon)
With a glock just as strong as me
Totin guns just as long as me, the bitch belongs with me
Any plans with another bitch, my bitch'll spoil it
One day, she used my toothbrush to clean the toilet (that's nasty)
Throwin my clothes out the windows, so when the wind blows
I see my Polos and Timbos
Hide my car keys so I can't leave
A real slick bitch, keep a trick up her sleeve
And if I deceive, she won't take it lightly
She'll invite me, politely, to fight G
And then we lie together, cry together
I swear to God I hope we fuckin die together

Chorus

       [Girl]
Let me tell you nigga, if I ever, ever catch your ass fuckin around
I'ma cut your mother-fuckin dick off
       [Puff Daddy]
Hah, heheh stop playin, hah
       [Girl]
I ain't playin, ain't no jokes, ain't no jokes
Ain't no jokes
       [Puff Daddy]
Yo, don't don't play with my dick

Verse Three: Notorious B.I.G.

She helped me plan out my robberies on my enemies
Didn't hesitate to squeeze, to get my life out of danger (yeah)
One day, she put nine one one on the page
Had to call back, whether it's minor or major (yeah)
No response, the phone just rung
Grab my vest, grab my gun, to find out the problem
When I pulled up, police was on the scene
Had to make the U-turn, make sure my shit was clean
Drove down the block, stashed the burner in the bushes
Stepped to police with the shoves and the pushes
It didn't take long before the tears start
I saw my bitch dead with the gunshot to the heart
And I know it was meant for me
I guess the niggaz felt they had to kill the closest one to me (uh, yeah)
And when I find em your life is to and end
They killed my best friend... me and my bitch

Chorus

Uh, yeah, yeah
Uh...
Uh, motherfucker yeah

p.s. Not knowing Biggie's first album equals to not knowing Warren's first album, I tell you Antonio. Be ashamed  ;)

Here's a little something related to the whole 'Pac/Biggie situation your talking about.

"I feel like i'm doin' it for hip hop, i'm gettin' the imposters out, I remember biggie sleepin' on my couch, I remember beggin' bitches to fuck him. Feel me, so big poppa dont mean nuttin' to me and he know it, thats why he cant fight me and thats why he cant battle me, I could make songs talkin' exactly about him and he cant talk about me cause he know, I was the one that bought him champagne, all that shit he talkin', that was me buyin' him that, he talkin bout my lifestyle on his album, cause when he was doin his album he was broke nigga, I was havin' money, the shit he was talkin' about was MY LIFE, THUG LIFE, thats what he talkin' about, all that jr mafia, them niggas was young mutha fuckas that used to hang around that I used to give money to to get on a train to go home at night, lil ceasa and all dem, lil kim yeah. So now they rappin' against me, so you can imagine how I fuckin feel. when I got arrested in new york I got arrested for biggie, dem guns in my room they were biggies guns, cause them cowards left the room when they heard the police was downstairs, and everybody left they guns in my room, so I got 4 guns in my room, cerial numbers scratched out, and I did not snitch I took that case, so you can imagine how I feel!!!!! When i'm in jail for that and he out there livin' a mafia lifestyle, givin' me no money no respect no tribute, rollin' with my roaddog that was there when I got shot. I mean c'mon man, i'm not paranoid, i'm not paranoid. y'all niggas know what time it is, what it is is that these east coast drug dealers got them niggas under extortion, I came and fucked up everything."

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.
