went to tharow.com the other day..
« on: January 13, 2002, 04:19:10 PM »
and saw they were making fun of dre again.  does anyone else find this humorous?  lets see, deathrow with dre = platinum platinum platinum, deathrow after dre = collapse.  i mean, usually when i make fun of a person, i make sure that person wasn't the only reason for my success first.  also, it helps when i make  sure i don't have a crumbling record label while the guy i'm making fun of is busy trying to count how many times platinum his latest album is. ;)

Yeah, they don't attack his music, because they can't, his stuff is doppppe, so they try and attack him personally.  It's all sellin' records, if they keep dre's name in their mouth, and dre disses back, then they both get rich.  That's tha row's philosophy about record sales, and it's been like that since they started... Dre sold records off dissing eazy, for example, and he didn't diss eazy's music, he dissed eazy's personal life.  It's just tha row's mentality.

That What Pisses Me Off About People Dissing Tha Row For Dissing Dre!! Dre Did The Same Thing - Nobody Mentions That, But They All Attack Tha Row.  >:(

I'm gonna say it like this, this is my view.  We all like Rap.  But the rappers we like aren't "good" rappers!  How is dre any better than suge, suge's saying Dre's gay, but at the same time, Dre's saying crap about getting with 10 women at a time while he's married, Dre's talkin about packin' guns, etc.  It's like two demons fighting with each other, LOL... I mean, they both got their problems.  Look at snoop, glorifying crip life, talking about killin' people, talking about not lovin' hos, This is what we listen to, but in reality, I can't pick one from the other, because they're all livin' wrong....

Then you take somebody like Common, or Black Thought, or De La Soul, or some rappers, who unfortunately are mainly from the east, who are setting good examples, and it's easy to favor them and their message over the others... so I dunno.  I love westcoast music, but I can't say dre's an angel and suge's the devil, because to me, they ain't that different.

Logic, bear in mind that Dr. Dre has never ever ever publicly dissed Death Row Records in his lifetime...it is obvious that he is scared of Suge. :-/

suge is always dissin dre....but i never see him put up something on the website like 'dre the homo who brought eyez to tha row in the first place and i am still puttin' out his shit and he iz making me a lot of money', fuck that.....he hates him but can't admit that he needs dre's old shit to keep his label going.....because to tell u the truth all snoop and dre's best shit was from the old days on death row.....and thats another thing someone has got right.....i think dre fears suge cuz he has neva publically dissed tha row............

Why should Dre diss ThaRow in public? Couldn't Dre just buy some thaRow-ad's instead? Dre dissing Suge is exactly what Suge is hoping for. Suge is like my little brother: Always trying to pull some shit to get some attention, and I just ignore him. Why Suge puttin 5-10 rappers and a couple of webmasters to diss Dre? TO SELL is the answer, it's like Jayo Felony or D-Block trying to diss Jay Z.

It's strange, West Coast music is my favorite type of hip-hop, but I don't fully understand why I lvoe it so much when in my CD's these people are talkin bout killing other people blah, blah.  I know Dre and Snoop sort of steered away from it, but I don't know what pulled me into gangsta rap in the first place.  There is other music otu there too, like Common and Talib Kweli who are more real and postive with their rhymes that I like too.  Both, 2 very different type sof music.

about the whole suge disses dre, but dre dissed eazy thing....

deathrow has NO reason what so ever to be dissing dre, suge should be THANKING dre if anything, dre gave total contral to suge when he left ultimatly giving suge all authority, dre never once dissed deathrow, all he said was gangsta rap is dead and rap music needs to go in a different direction now,and now DR diss dre .... ::)

When dre dissed Eazy it wasn't for no reason, Dre was getting gipped in his contract and Jerry Heller was trying to keep him under a beginer's contract so Jerry and Eazy could make most of the money, but dre was like the Shaquille O'neal of Ruthless records, musically producing  all of the work or overseeing it, but was getting paid dirt. Dre confronted Jerry about this and Jerry basically said you might be the best producer out right now and do most of the work on this lable but we're only paying you what Lupe the engineer makes (that's like paying shaq  the same amount of money for what brian shaw or mark madsen makes) Dre then confronted eazy and eazy basically sided with Jerry (basically so only jerry would be financianally on his level) dre than gave eazy an ultimatum....either you choose this greedy jew whose trying to take our lable over or me, your homie from childhood....eazy chose jerry, anyone who says they wouldn't of done what Dre did afterwords is a fucking hypocrit

as far as Dre's musical content, yeah it's stupid, but dude tried putting a message behind his music but no one wanted to listen /or cared...even critics, so the only way to stay in the game is stick to what he came up with lryically, and just make his musical statements through his instrumentation

dre tried the Common, Roots, Mos Def thang, but no one wanted to see him do that , Dre's not a bad man for rapping about fucking woman....hell his own wife told him to do that again

dre doesn't diss suge and dr because he's smarter than them.  why would a guy that's guaranteed triple platinum on anything he releases have to diss a guy that only makes money when he releases dre's shit?  the fact that when he left the row, the promise of platinum album after platinum album left with him  is enough diss to last a lifetime.
