read the snoop dogg interview.  He speaks the real on producing.  there is a lot more to producing than just making the beat.  Just listen to the difference in any rapper who has had dre producing for them.  Clear examples:  Dogg Food, Doggystyle.

yup producing isnt just the beat lol.  It is wayyy more, its putting the whole song together, where the hook should go, when this verse should start, etc.  Thats what makes Quik so fuckin talented

Yella has produced some bangers for Eazy and others on Ruthless. I'm sure he had a hand in NWA stuff but next to Dre he just got overshadowed.

The D.O.C said on the lines of ''I was like an extra creative mind for Dre when it came to the music, Yella was like an extra pair of hands he learned by himself and knew inside out the machines, boards etc..and knew exactly what to press, turn, fix when Dre needed something done''

Ren said the whole production thing was Dre.

Cube also had moaned at Eazy why Yella was gettin paid more and Eazy said coz Yella was helping Dre produce...

Yella recorded some dope shit for Eazy, i dont think i ever see any co-producer shit on his credits after Dre left.

Eazy's last lp after he had passed,Yella had to complete and finish but it was rushed, it had some ill songs but it could of been awesome if handled with more time.

That tribute lp Yella did for Eazy, once again Yella laced some dope tracks.

exactly, anyone can make a beat on their computer nowadays, producing is way way more than that. Quincy Jones is one of the best music producers ever and I don't think he played any of the instruments on thriller, but he was the one that put it all together.
