After my first listen-through of Regal Muzick I gotta say it aint quite what I expected. It might seem uninspiried of me to say but I felt that this album was a bit more bland than the Tsoul Ghetto material. on there (Tsoul Ghetto) Clinton was really showing that rap can be something different that just flaunty a meaningless, non-excisting, life-style of woman and violence but can really be about real life emotions and just everyday struggles.

On this new one though, I kindda felt that it was leaning more towards a commercially "acceptable" content of lyrics.

Please take this comment with a grain of oregano though, as I have only listened to the whole thang once :D

I'd have to disagree, If you pay attention to tracks like "Clintro", "Im Scrait", "The Gospel" "Kalling On U", this is exactly his angle. Clinton is about as honest and as real as it gets as an artist because he is not afraid to talk about his weaknesses while boasting his strengths. Tsoul Ghetto represents a different time in the artist's life, where Regal Muzik displays a time in life where he is coming off of some life changing experiences and a new sense of focus. Clinton is still a positive artist that is just honest about his own personal weaknesses and doesnt try to make himself sound more righteous than the next man.

That's the problem with society now and days, we have people commenting on things when they haven't even comprehended on the task at hand. So imma break down Regal Muzik 4 those who have trouble uunderstanding real art. The Clintro is speaking about these fake "thugs, gangstaz" running the streets, who have never experienced the real street life or who has never been locked up but portraying the lifestyle. Truth be told is addressing an issue of when I got signed and the label ran with the money, and other artist gettin luv and 4getting who they are and the people around them. I can tell you really didnt listen to the words to number 3, b/c the first line said enough. The song with Dr. Stank and I is just some fun loving west koast muzik, but I still address in my verse about my weakness of bein shallow in selecting my females, per say fine but materialistic. Kallin on u is as real as it gets a prayer to God on behalf of the hood. U aint a gangsta, tellin fake cats i see right through them. Kant get krunk, is a slick way of saying that im tru west movement till i die. im skraight talks about how people change when your locked up and when you're down..The last line says "when me and trunk was on the block, and we didnt have no chains, all we did was have dreams, kuz we were bigger than bling". Shamone Man. OoO wee, is reppin my town, and lettin people know barstow aint no punk town. Freestyle and the gospel are self explanatory. Gucci starts off disregarding rim talk, and keeping it real street. Im gettin tired of typing call in on saturday if u got any questions, but I cant believe you took the time to write this and downgrade my musik. Analyze Regal Muzik Correctly. King of the Desert. P.S. Still no Cussing

yes you are probably right, and like a said that comment was was an expression of some *very* initial thoughts after listening to the record.

I really love what you two dudes are doing though, let their be no doubt about that. And I think you are an amazing producer mr. Major. When did you get into to the game? And what were you doing prior to hooking up with Clinton??

Thanks for the response, Let me add that I value everyones right to an opinion. I think for Clinton, Regal Muzik deals with more personal driven tracks and subject matter than his Tsoul Ghetto. Once you dig into the album you will understand what I mean, I think maybe music on regal muzik maybe more Commercially acceptable if anything. Wayne has been workin with me pretty much sense I started producing tracks. So Im still a relatively new producer but you may begin to start hearing me on more projects, as you may have heard me on PYO Entertainment's "Pull Up Get Out" track on GTA 3. All feedback is good feedback for me though man so make sure to listen in to the radio show on Saturday if you can!
