Are tamales on Christmas a Mexican tradition

Its an Italian tradition to eat seafood and wasp tradition to have roast beast so I'm wondering if Mexicans have the same thing with tamales. help me out amigos

As far as I know, most Mexicans and Central Americans eat Tamales on Xmas...

Shit's for real too. This lady my Tia (which would mean aunt) knows has a Restaurant in L.A. Yesterday, they had a line over 2 blocks long of people waiting for her Tamales. Some of the bombest Central American tamales you've ever had.

open my fridge right now and the top two shelves are filled with tamales people have given to us for christmas. i'll be shittin orange until february!  ;D
