His first album was some new jack shit and it was all or mostly produced by RZA,  but none of it is the classic Wu sound we all love.  I remember seeing his very first video on BET back in like 91 or 92 and it was wack as hell.  So if you don't cop his first album you probably won't be missing out on much.

Words From The Genius was released in 1991 on Cold Chillin Records, and Bleech you're wrong about RZA, he only produced one song there called Pass The Bone. All others were mainly produced by Easy Mo Bee.

It was just plain New York rap, just nice metaphors and plain choruses. The only standout rack is Life Of A Drug Dealer, he used much of it on his later releases. Anyway, dont even try to buy that album, I didnt listen to it for like 2 years, nothing dope.

I be one of those tall skinny cats with the four-nine
Three-eleven that rips through Power-U's and breaks spines
I culture power-tuggin' boys who be drunk, buggin'
Lovin' loud noise from toys, club thuggin'
Sweet chocolate deluxe, rugged, sexy buttercup
That don't give a fuck about the cop in the club

Words from the Genius is right, anyone ever listen to the RZA's Prince Rakeem sh*t. Funny stuff "I Love You Rakeem!!" Had me busting up.

I read some of that Love You Rakeem lyrics. Damn that shit was funny. RZA is awfully ashamed of it.
