If the mets sweep the skanks, btw I hate evening thinking about the fact that the mets will sweep the skanks b/c I dont want to jinx anything, but for a discussions sake... if the Mets sweep the skanks, do you think steinbrenner fires clueless joe torre (the most overatted manager in baseball history... hell they even called him clueless joe when he managed in st.louis and they love everyone).  I think steinbrenner will give him the sox series to redeem himself.  But if the yanks choke in Boston I think steinbrenner drops the hammer on good ol clueless joe.  BTW I was at the game today and the Jeters boyfriend chants whenever gayrod came up were classic.

You could of won with a rock as the manager of those late 90's yankee teams.  Notice how the club house got worse when paul o'neil retired.  And even more so once Zimmer and Randolph left, thats b/c they are the ones the kept that clubhouse in check.  And plus it dont take a great mind to be a manager in the AL.
