Outkast is EASILY one of the greatest groups ever, and if they stay on the pace they are on now, they might become THEE greatest group ever. 4 classic albums, and very few groups have the consistancy they do. Wu Tang, Bone, Tribe, Public Enemy, Gang Starr, NWA, etc etc are all great groups in their own right, but none of them have the consistancy of Outkast. Not saying Outkast is better, but they are very consistant. And their VERY creative, musically and lyrically. Its like the re-invent themselves on every album.

Southernplayalistic: Their classic debut. Huge album in contributing to blowing up the south. Help popularize that pimp shit  down there. The south was looked at as commerical, but Outkast brought some sharp lyricism out of that region with this debut. Some awesome production too. Shit is just funky!! Great record.

ATLiens: In my opinion, this might be their best album. Its definatly their lyrical masterpiece. But what made this album so great was its revolution. Kast took a HUGE risk in putting out an album like this, after putting out a hardcore, raw south album on their debut. When you put out something more deep and sophisticated like this, it often meets with disappoint cuz it doesnt follow the formula. However, EVERYONE loved this album, and still do. That is what makes this cd so incredible. Almost every song is poignant, with some sorta message. A true hip hop classic. One of my fav album covers too.

Aquemini: Another masterpiece, and many feel this as Outkast's best album. Its not my personal fav from them, but it is indeed a great record. They came alot more musically sophisticated here, and the lyrics are nothing short of mindblowing. Some of the songs drag a little bit, like Mamacita, but their experementation payed off once again. Skew It On The Bar B w/Raekwon is one of my fav collabs ever, and Andre drops some lyrical brilliance on tracks like The Art Of Storytelling 1 & 2, Return Of The G, Chonkey Fire, etc etc.

Stankonia: This is even MORE provocative than Aquemini. The first time I heard this album, my jaw to dropped to the floor. Lyrically, it wouldnt say its their best album, but its still on point, and musically, its........MINDBLOWING!!!!!! This album has officially bridged all musical genres/barriers together. It has elements of rock, funk, jazz, rnb, country, and even gospel, but hip hop is still the main link. A beautifully constructed album, and in my opinion, the best hip hop album to come out in 2 years. I havent had an album blow my mind like this since E.1999 Eternal did back in the summer of 95'........classic.

Outkast is the shit, period point blank.
